I have a history with red first gens but decided to change things up a bit when I came accross this beautiful Super White 2012 DCSB TRD Offroad. Truck was garage kept and only had 5,100 miles when I bought it in February of 2020!! It is such a rare and well kept 2.5 Gen that I won't be doing any big mods at first. Eventually I want to build it into an expedition style rig for travel accross North America. Stay tuned for updates as I build this truck over the next few years!

Here is my 2000 Xtra Cab that I purchased when I was 16 and drove for 4 years until it was totaled by someone who ran a red light.

    IMG_1178.jpg

Decided it was time to upgrade to the family model after the first truck got totaled. Kept it first gen so I could swap over all of the offroad parts I had invested in and picked up a 2001 Double Cab. Drove this truck for over 4 years when I came accross the 2012. Seeing how clean the truck was I decided to upgrade to something just a little bit bigger with more modern conveniences.

It hurt a little bit drilling holes in the new to me truck but finally got the Bird Dawg Industries Tech Deck installed. I opted for the Extreme version and it feels very solid! Mounted a RAM X Grip to hold my phone for now.

Added a full set of Weathertech Floor Liners and their sun shade for the windshield. Both of these are a perfect fit. For the bed I chose the OEM Bed Mat.

Also, grabbed some neoprene seat covers (which fit surprisingly well with a little modification) and a USB Charger/Voltmeter off eBay.

Swapped out the chrome TRD Offroad grille for a color matched TRD Sport one. Still unsure about keeping the bug deflector though.

Had a local shop install 35% Llumar Ceramic Tint on the front side windows. Matches the factory glass very well!

Found a good deal on a set of 3rd gen TRD Offroad wheels. Really like the look of these on the earlier gen trucks. Also added a Gasshole from Me-so Customs.

Ain't that the truth! Nice find, super clean. I've been debating about one of the deflectors myself, got one on the 4Runner and kinda like it, I think I'd keep it if it were me.

Having one on my last two Tacos I was never crazy about the look but they do protect from rock chips and keep a good bit of bugs off the windshield.

Finally got my ARE V series cap installed after 6+ weeks! I opted for the aluminum doors on sides, roof rack tracks, interior carpet, fold down front window, dome light and folding clothes rod.

Also after the downpour today I was happy to find only a little bit of water got in around the front bed corners and tailgate gaps. Gotta seal those up and it should be good!

Installed a set of Total Chaos bed Stiffener brackets in preparation for a rooftop tent eventually. I researched several brands but liked how little these obstructed the bed and the additional tie down points.
