Cool. I did the same. The hardware was incomplete so I replaced it all with better stuff to be safe.

Congrats brother! Gonna be some good meat there!

I got my air bags figured out. Passenger side line was actually touching the exhaust so it melted a hole in the line and drivers side was too short and how I had to mount the fill valve was putting too much stress on the fitting and making it leak. Removed both lines, lengthened and remounted them. They are holding air perfectly now. Gonna hold me over until I save up for new leafs. Looking at the HD Dakars or Icon RXTs.

Thanks man! It's the smallest Buck I've ever shot but it's probably the one I've worked the hardest for. I'm glad you got your lines figured out. It's always a bummer when things aren't working like they should

I finished the rear suspension on my truck last night. Went with the Bilstein 5160s for the added towing and off road capability. Also added a front sway bar drop to keep the sway bar from clunking off my 885s when I was off road.

I've found a couple of different methods for this mod. Have a link to the one you used? I also have those gorgeous amber Morimotos and wanna flaunt them without headlamps on.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/2013-fog-light-anytime-w-fuse-step-by-step.279537/

This is the Link I used. My fuse panel didn’t have the grey relay in the same box as the fog lights like in the link so I actually ran a wire to the inside fuse panel and tapped into the windshield washer fluid pump with a add a fuse. I’ve done it to a switched hot off of the secondary air pump but I was having problems with them turning on randomly and not shutting off when I turned the key off. Found out later the secondary air pump has a timed circuit on it so I don’t recommend tapping off of that.

Pulled out the Chev, new ubolts, oil change, and front and rear diff fluid flush/change. Still need to do driveline ujoints and give it a good washing but it’s getting closer to being on the road again after 4 years of mostly sitting.

Did the Plugs, coolant temp sensor, jet kit, checked timing, driveline ujoints, deleted the old secondary battery wiring, and drove the piss out of this thing!

Hey man, I'm just getting caught up on your build. Truck is looking nice! So is that Chevy!

What exactly do those retard cam gears do to improve the power of the motor?

    Thanks!

The cam gears make it so your exhaust valves open a little later which is supposed to get more of the hot exhaust gasses out so more colder air can come in on the intake stroke from my understanding. Kind of like playing with your camshaft center on the old small blocks and stuff I think. I’m not a motor expert by any means haha. Better power throughout the power curve though. I don’t really notice the difference any more but when I first put them in I could really tell the difference when I was getting on the freeway or something. The power difference probably isn’t worth it unless you need to do something in the motor anyways. I had leaky valve covers so I figured while I was in there I could try out these cam gears.

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the info on that, very helpful. I've been debating pulling my intake mani to clean it out and clean or replace my injectors. Maybe I'll do this at the same time when I get to all that.

No problem. The motor would probably like that haha. Once I get settled back in over here on the west side of the state and buy a house I think I’m going to do the TRD exhaust and maybe the URD headers and get my truck retuned with OVtune. See what it does then. Or just supercharge it and be done with it haha. I’ve been messing around with the Chevy lately though. It still needs some love after sitting for so long.

S/C would be so fun, to drive and work on. I've been reading that thread about the HP Tuners as well. Sounds like a pretty inclusive tuner set up.

How have your Wildpeaks been now that you've had them on for a while? I'm thinking about getting some new tires for our 4Runner and I'm debating between Wildpeaks and the new Toyo AT III

They are ok. Not really exceptional at anything. They wear quicker then my BFGs did. They are a good tire for the price and look pretty good with the aggressive side wall. I’ve had two flats in my set and two flats in my wife’s set. All were because of small punctures. If they weren’t so cheap I probably wouldn’t buy them again but the low price is hard to beat
