Well I have a DRZ and it’s an unpowered pig I will admit, but I only paid a little over 2k for it. Lol It’s still fun but needs waaaaaaaaay more power. I did get to do 2 Races on my buddy’s Husky 510 SMR a few years ago and that was a blast. 20F740E4-8C19-4B8A-9B1E-0DDB2EEF1D52.jpg

Looking to buy my first sm now. Want to use it as a commuter at least a few times a week (14 mile round trip). I've been looking at the DRZs. I found an 05 Husky 510smr with around 3900 miles in my area for cheap but idk how well it will perform as a daily commuter.

I've been looking for a DRZ but new ones are $7,000+ and used ones are hard to find.

Theres only a handful for sale here in Miami. Trying to find on for like <$3500. Mainly trying to find either Wr450, drz400sm, or a xr650r(if that ever happens.) No EXCs around here either.

IMO a 2012+ wr450f is twice the bike the drz is. But having owned a few different sumos now, the 500 is the best of everything.

I feel ya on that. The only wr450 I've been able to find around here (that already converted) is a 2003. I also found a 2005 Husky 510smr for cheap but I'm pretty hesitant about that one.

    Before my 500 I had a wr450. I love the bikes, I just really wanted a 6 speed.

Yea I hear that. I'll wont be using mine much on the highway (or so I think now). We shall see. I'll probably end up in the same boat eventually.

My old riding buddy had a aprilia made husky and when the motor failed the mechanic told him to just scrap it. The parts and engines are too rare and unreliable to keep putting money into.

    Here's my husky 701sm though

Rode to work for the first time today :bikewheelie2:. I got some breathable gear but fuck I was still sweaty as hell. Having this intermittent issue where it'll randomly turn off when I give it gas. Im wondering if I need to clean out the carb.
