Surface rust

    I have a 2007 Tacoma with 7000 mi's. i just gave her the first wax job and i noticed surface rust on the lip ends of my rear chrome bumper , Has anyone else seen this problem?

    That truck if it were mine would be right back to the dealer for a replacement!!

    Debadged 06 Black Sand Pearl 4x4 Every option.
    Yup the stock chrome sux, i sandblasted it and painted it black sand pearl to match the truck. Mine was rusty and so was every one i looked at where the plate mounted. Just surface, the bumper was fine the chrome is cheap.

    Thats crap, I agree with Kngharley, go back to the dealer. Not acceptable on a new truck!

    That sounds like a game plan, after all i do have bumper to bumper warrenty

    05 gmc rusting bumper..08 tacoma bumper expect to rust also..use mothers chrome wheel polish or other decent brand..slows it down

    The thing is, it should'nt be there in the first place within 7 months of ownership.

    I agree let me know what your local toyota dpsm does about it.

    I noticed small amounts(dot like) just below where the license plate sits on the bumper. I took a little Zaino and it it rubbed off. I haven't noticed any more since. Mine is an 07' as well. Not encouraging though...looking forward.
