Agreed. Best fins I’ve had we’re the leblons, unfortunately they are not making fins for the public now And I lost one of them in the water. the one I have left provides more power than wearing two da fins. Vipers murder your feet but have the power. I wish they made UDTs in my size because i want a pair bad! Dafins are extremely comfortable but provide little power in comparison to others (honestly a great fin for small waves). Lots of other brands over the years have failed to impress me. Yucca is the only one I need to get my hands on still, but all the reviews show people love them.

Ya I bought them in Hawaii while I lived there and actually used them. When I moved back to California water is too cold to take them out and I don’t go to. Lot of shore break spots to body surf. If I go to the water it’s usually for a surf. They just sat for a long time with no use and no moisture getting in then. I’m gonna try and check out some yuccas though this weekend

Well I bit the bullet and got a 7’ Log. Unfortunately my 13 yr old son has claimed it and rides it pretty good. So I may have to snag another. I will say it seems to make the smallest waves rideable.

lol. A 7’ log. That’s some folks short board step up. :D It’s been fun riding logs and wide girls the last couple years. Never thought I’d enjoy it, but hay, we all get old someday.

The log is just the model name of the catch surf board. It probably has as much volume as a 8’ board though lol. I’ve started enjoying bigger boards myself. I’ve realized I’m not a good enough surfer and don’t surf enough to warrant true short boards. I really want to get like a 7’ single fin egg as my next board

The wave storm is a great cheap fun board as well. The log is nice because it has a bit more performance in it so it still catches everything like a wave storm does and it’s better quality. But hey, you certainly can’t beat a $90 board and if you break it you can get a new one for free!

yes you can beat buying a Wavestorm by supporting local shapers and having a great board made. You look less like a kook as well. Just sayin.....

You’re an idiot. Comparing a wave storm to a custom board is fucking stupid. A beginner is not going to drop 500+ on a custom shaped board. If you want a longboard you’re now looking at $1000+. Wavestorms are great beginner boards and they’re great boards for people who’ve been surfing for years. You’re the kook if you can’t realize that.

Who cares what board you are riding, all that matters is you are enjoying yourself.

There’s literally no reason to hate on a wave storm. They catch all the waves and are cheap. To try and say you shouldn’t buy one and just buy a custom board is fucking stupid. Telling someone to buy a custom board over a storm to learn to surf is like telling someone to buy a R1 instead of a 250

Damn straight. Look at Jamie O’Brien he’s all about the catch surf game. I’m sure KS has a soft top line too. Always need more boards haha. I need to start thinning my quiver of shit I don’t ride. I’ve been wanting to get a custom 7’ single fin egg
