Surfing during/after a rain here in Southern California usually doesn't bother me.

However, I think I will wait a bit after this upcoming rain.

San Diego city officials have been washing Hep A off the sidewalks all summer/fall and it's all been going down the storm drains. Look for an increase in Hep A cases among SD surfers.

I heard San Diego was having brutal homeless issues and we're now using bleach in the streets. I usually side with caution and the rain and avoid the water for a couple days. I work in construction though so it suck a cause usually rain means no work and more free time.

Thinking about heading to baja, so how does the sentri pass work, just need one person with it in the truck or does everyone need it?

As far as I know, you need sentri if it is your car, and those who don't have sentri can't be with you. They should walk across.

you'll have to use the general line. Plenty of bad sh&t running into the ocean in Baja as well. The line can be long when you think it should be short so be prepared to spend at least one hour going North thru SJ. There were reports it was over 5 hours on what is considered a slow time.

Were thinking of hitting k38 of course if theres no rain within the week. 5 hours would be crazy, how quick can you get global entry or is it a process?

Takes over a month to get global entry. You have to fill out the application and then get interviewed in person.

My recommendation is to go have fun, and when you come back just go through the otay boarder crossing ready lane (west lanes usually). I've waited 4 hours at SY, but usually otay is quick by comparison. honestly the border crossing situation is always a dice roll. I usually cross on Sunday's at like 4pm which is the freakin worst.

I cross the border about 30 times a year and its a dice roll like the guy said before. I typically cross Sat. mornings at around 10 am and its mostly less than 2 hours at SY (Regular lanes).

    Just go and have fun!!

Just go to a pharmacist or drs office in Mexico and tell them you will pay them $50 I’d they sign the medical entry form (it’s on the internet). Will get you through in under an hour.

It’s a special lane for medical emergencies. They don’t ask questions. You just hand them the form and shoot through the first 2/3 of the crap traffic.

They are not handing those out like candy like the past. Lots of fraud and being used for non-emergency reasons. BUT, they are available if you know where to go or know someone to get them thru.
