who knows what difference each shape or length will make but for $10 a month I figured why not try em all. Beats buying them to test them that's for sure.

Yeah I added one set of quad fins but put those last. I've been riding my log for the most part lately and just figured I'd mess with that. Since it's just one fin maybe I'll be able to notice a bigger difference? Idk

I think fins make a huge difference with boards. I personally ride thrusters and like an upright template for the conditions I surf most often (smaller beachbreak). Upright fins are very pivoty and allow for quick directional changes. When you get into the fins with more rake, your turns are more drawn out. I like rakier templates in larger pointbreaks where you have some room to turn.

I broke this one:(. But the fins survive, 101 Bamboo, AM2 template for hollow days. I find a template that works and stick to it. For short boards, and not barreling I prefer the Stretch templates. I forgot what they are called exactly, they are yellow. I only ride thrusters. I had an eggy little quad fin that was fun for really small days, but don't surf enough to paddle out on really small days anymore. 335328_10151206058012463_1381713499_o.jpg 412305_10151206058357463_1992579925_o.jpg

I want to get an egg for smaller days. Something I can pick up in the bed. I love my Longboard but don't like keeping it in the roof rack if I'm not around the truck.

I did for just one session on a small day, one of his loaners. He is such a nice guy! I couldn't really get into it for some reason, didn't suit my style I guess. I might try one again when he gets back in town and there are some waves again.

It is San O and a fun day for sure. Had some overhead waves this days and kinda wish I even had a smaller board for this day. But the Hoyte rides like a shorter board so there was good ones to be had.

I think that one is 7'10" but pretty wide. Stringerless EPS/Epoxy with the tail pulled in so rides very loose. I am the third owner of this board but its basically new and couldn't pass up the board, bag, leash sale for $400

Church was good this day also but had a bum hip so went out front.

I think my buddy has a similar fin on his 9’0. Interesting looking fin. Never rode his board enough to get a feel for it.

Man I want to get like a 7’ fun board now

That is a fun looking twinzer! The one I rode was like 6'1" x 19" or so, much more like a shortboard. It was really fast just didn't really get used to it in one session and had to give it back haha. That looks like a fun day. Wish there were some waves, it has been a pretty dismal winter so far.

I have a few others with Fish outlines. You will go faster than any other board with the Twinzer set up.
