Or if you have a friend over here with military access the marine Corp base has beautiful wave that wraps around pyramid rock. Pretty much all year

Their breakfasts are killer too. Although one time it haunted me real quick. Ate there, then went to keikis. As you know, the closest shitter is at the foodland. Well I didn’t drive and I didn’t have time to walk there. So I went to the big ass bushes in front of the houses, crawled my way in, dug a hole and took a squat, and then rinsed out in the ocean
Went there one time but didn’t get to surf. Wish I had brought my board that day cuz it was firing

I’m still recovering from partial shoulder reconstruction (11/17) and haven’t surfed in awhile do to my shoulder being so messed up. I can’t wait to get out there again.

Watching 15 foot pipe breaking in person is the coolest and most terrifying thing I've probably ever seen. Much respect to all the dudes and dudettes that charge out there.

+1 to the above statements, I was fortunate to spend about 2 weeks on the NS for several years in a row. Never messed w/ pipe for obvious reasons, surfed the sh$t outta Chuns tho, super fun and user friendly. Just down from sunset, Kami land I scored couple of times super fun. Never heard of this pyramid rock, but didnt know anybody in the military.

Pyramid rock is across the flight line on the marine corps base great wave. Chuns is super fun back yards is also a nice user friendly place.

when its true 10-12 its amazing to watch. Definitely terrifying and that is beyond my comfort zone. Ive surfed puerto escondido at proper 8ft and seen it at 10-15 and its gnarls, but pipe is so much crazier! I wouldn't surf pipe at 8ft haha

the traffic is insane!!! But such a great place...ehukai is way better than pyramid rock for sure

I used to surf this one spot down south, I don’t think it was proper Cromwell’s but it was really close to it. It was this small spot that when the rest of the south was flat it would just pick up I think this westerly wrap and just be reeling 3-4 footers. I surfed it so many times and I only ever saw 1 other person out when I went besides the guys I’d go with.

Had another solid sesh out at 17th this morning. Nice 3 foot peaks. Got to work on my backside as most were lefts. I'm still terrible at backside surfing though

I paddled out yesterday at dawn in newport south of blackies and then came back around 5pm to the lower jetties north of the pier. There were a few really nice sets until high tide mushed it. This morning was back to meh
