What do you all use to re-attach a traction pad that's coming up? The back of mine is coming up and I'd like to glue it back down before it gets too bad.

3m spray adhesive...but its not a permanent fix...eventually you will need to remove it and use goo b gone to get the adhesive off and replace. One thing ive noticed over the years is when the pad starts coming up, its generally due to a ding underneath thats sucking water and breaking down the adhesive. Its almost a guarantee if the center of the pad comes up. Means you have a ding on the stringer

You can use different types of glue, but honestly at that point I'd rip off the entire thing and get a new traction pad. Once you glue it down in one area, it comes up in the next area, and then the next area and before you know it you've used 4 bottles of glue and your board is in half :). Just kidding (sorta). Glue will work temporarily but not long term is what I am meaning to say. Maybe I can find an extra trac pad laying around I can give ya.

Bottles of glue? I hope youre not using a waterbased haha. It has to be a solvent based glue. But I agree, once they start coming off, its delayinrg the inevitable.

They also make em out of agave, though Gary Linden doesnt make many. More of an art piece if anything, but totally eco friendly, just not as good as the toxic polyeurethane boards we love so much haha

Doesn't necessarily take 14 days to heal up. Depends on the tat.

Been wanting a new fish since I sold my last one two years ago, finally picked up from the shaper. Great dude!

Haven’t taken it out yet, about a month and a half out of the water and now I have to wait for a wrist sprain to heal up.

Well see how it heals. My artist told me 2 weeks. I’ve heard 1-2 from others though. Either way I’m out at least a full week. This is my first one so I don’t know how my skins gonna do with it. Well find out soon enough
