So I bought the 5100 from Toyotec, package 4. I had a friend install it
and he did not do the AAL in the back. Tomorrow it gets an alignment done and adjust anything day.

    1. When my friend installed the suspension he put the front shocks in so that they were the same length as the stock shocks. Is that the .85 or 0 setting?

    2. Will the AAL solve my soft back end issues? I cannot go over a speed bump without the backend hitting the bump stops.

    3. What is the difference between the front and the back height, stock? I want the same rake and do not want it level.

    Anything else would be appreciated.

If you want to maintain the factory rake then you'll have to raise the back at least as much as you raised the front. Look at the shocks and see what notch the circlip is on to tell if you're at 0 or .85 or 1.75 etc

How will I know what each notch means? I am assuming that there are 3 notches, which one should it be at. I also have Eibach springs in case people are wondering.

i edited my post and it didnt show up. with the eibachs you have 1.6" front lift without worrying about the c clip. if its not at 0 then you have that much more added lift.

so for level at zero do a 1.5" aal then youll still have a little front rake

I have the Toyotec AAL which means I will get the lift it gives me. I do not think I can control the amount of lift with the AAL?

looking at their site i think its a 2" aal therefor the 1.6" eibach lift with the zero setting on the 5100's will still give you the factory front rake

if you cant tell the setting post up a pic of the lower section of the strut assembly maybe it will be visable

nevermind about the picture. go to the truck and stick your finger just where the spring ends on the bottom. run it up along the shock, if you feel 3 grooves your at the lowest setting, 2 grooves your at the .85 setting

I am at 2 grooves. I can see 2 grooves and barely touch the bottom of the second one. I guess that is a good thing. So I am good to go and the leaf springs will go in tomorrow.

I did have a question on the rear shocks as they just seem so soft and do not seem to sit right on the rear end. The shock covers are all scrunched up more so than anything I have seen. Maybe the AAL will fix that.

This is prob kinda late but here's my truck with a little bit of rake. The front billies are set at .85 and the rear has tsb done and 1" block. Your aal should make the rear a little higher.

That is a sweet looking truck. I think I will be good to go on my rake as I am adding the AAL toyotec and I already have about a 2.5" lift in the front.

My tires look so stupid with the lift. They are the stock tires and I need to do something about that. What size and make are your tires?

^ doesnt that rear tsb add over an 1". so with the block your at least 2" rear. with only 1" up front shouldnt that increase the front rake?

from that angle it looks like (or theres just alot of weight added to the back with the camper and all) that there should be more than 1" lift up front. but its not my truck so im just making an observation :)

did you add a top plate spacer to the front?

then to the op: if you can touch 2 grooves your set at .85 which means your close to 2.5" up front. was there any top plate spacer added with that package 4? if so and they are installed your closer to 3" up front. also with the rear idk if the package came with 5100's for the rear but that would be a good idea to upgrade to those for rear shocks with the 2" leaf.

Yes, right now I am totally even with no AAL. The AAL goes in tomorrow so there should be a big difference of like an inch or a little more.

so it doesnt sound like a top plate was with that. if your even now then when you do the aal, after it settles, you will be about an 1.5-2" higher in the back.

then if you happen to get vibrations after the leaf tomorrow get shims from toytec, it will help
