suspension lift questions??

i have a few questions about everthing that has to do with suspension lifts. i'm thinking the 3 inch front and back kit lift from toytec but here are my questions: heard that i should do a diff drop but i'm not exactly sure what that is and what all affects, or what it is and does. second question, also heard that with a 3 inch lift is good to replace the upper control arms, what do these do and how many are there, why is it a good idea to replace them? third question, is there anything else that should be replaced when i do this lift on my truck?

fell free to add anything extra that i didn't ask abou the more i learn the better, right?

That's a lot of questions and I'm sure they will get answered, you should use the search, there are tons of threads with these exact same conversations and answers to your questions. If you still have questions after that just ask.

First of all what kind of driving will you be doing...? What features of the toytec suspension are you interested in?

 

there are 2 upper control arms. both in the front. one on each side. They are not necessary but u will have alignment issues until you get them.

 

Sorry... Just a matter of semantics, but "necessary" - yes. "required" - no.
