I am new owner of a used 06 Tacoma with a factory JBL Single disc HU. I am wanting to keep it stock but am wanting Bluetooth and/or aux for my tunes. I've been looking at replacing it with a factory JBL 6 disc/MP3/Bluetooth HU out of a 2010 but am not sure if it will fit or if I'm going to need additional adaptors, etc., and would it be worth keeping it factory or replace it.

I don't think this would be possible because you would need the factory Bluetooth mic etc. You would honestly be better off going aftermarket with what you're wanting.

That makes sense. I didn't even think about the Bluetooth speaker. Thank you so much.

    You're welcome.

I actually just swapped my factory unit out with a Pioneer AVH X5800BHS. It came with a Bluetooth mic and I clipped it to my headliner right above my rear view mirror. I have been told my voice quality is better than the factory mic.

The sound quality is WAY better than the factory too.

Check out my build, I installed a 12 head unit non nav in my 09. Also installed a mic and phone controls on the steering wheel.
