That’s true of lots across the country, factories were idled due to corona so inventories are down. I’d wait to buy a new vehicle until 2021s are out in the fall.

Wait... let me get this straight...
You have not been off road.
    However you watched videos.
You thought neat.. If I only had that I could do this!
You now want to trade for something you think you need.

Dude, let me explain. Off roading is 90% driver, 10% vehicle. I had my Sport where some Jeeps wouldn't go. But, I saw an old Oldsmobile go where I wouldn't go. He had much bigger balls than me.

So to sum it up, the vehicle does not make the fun, the driver does.

However if you want it to pose, knock yourself out.

Thank goodness that she is. Only downside about her is that she’s short, so I have to keep her in mind when modding the taco

I’m trying to swap my nfab steps for some rock sliders though

before my Tacoma I had a Scion tC. Since 2011.

only off roading that I ever got in since 2011 was the off roading that I did while in the army. While In a humvee. Mind you they don’t come with all the bells and whistles that an off road Tacoma comes with...

So yeah, the only way I can base my judgement on another kind of Tacoma is through YouTube.

Why not take your current truck out and do some easy trails? See if you even like it. I personally dont. It’s just not my thing. There are plenty of washed and waxed “overland” trucks with a ton of money in them that have never seen dirt in their life. Don’t be like that ;)

I don’t suggest you trade in your 4wd sport for a 4wd OR. You can add a locker and be good. I traded in my 2017 2wd sport for a 2019 4wd OR. I’ve tried crawl control but maybe I just don’t quite understand how it works to say it’s not impressive . Regeared and added a front locker. Haven’t felt I’ve needed to touch crawl control.

I’ll make sure to make use of the things that I add on to it. Not going to pay crazy amount for something if it’s JUST for posing.

Not sure how much better the off-roads traction control is, but with A-trac i’ve never been in a position where i /needed/ a locker. I bet the sport’s traction control does a good job as well.

As Toyota says (and then denies warranty for) “Hit the trails!”

    4.88 or 5.29?

Have you noticed the difference in your MPG?

    Hey,
I recently just traded my 18 Sport LB for a 2020 OR SB, and I have zero regrets and here’s why.
I wanted the rear locker and the rest of the OR goodies, the power seats (I’m really tall with hip problems, these new seats really helped), and I regretted my colour choice with the 18.
Yeah I lost a bit of money up front, although not that much considering my new interest rate, but in the end I’m much happier with what I have now, and that’s why I’m okay with it.

5.29’s. I noticed the difference in the shifts. It’s how it should be. As far as MPG’s. Did not change.

if your planning to go off roading then just add ARB lockers front and rear and regear to 5.29. That way you can save on labor. Your sport will be more than capable than a pro! You can activate the lockers anytime 4H or 4L vs the elocker 4L. And air lockers > elockers. Elockers need a half a turn to engage while the air lockers dont. That’s why I got a sport 4x4 than an OR since i’m going to regear anyways and add the lockers. Save some money.
