Every time I get my tired rotated and balanced my tire shop (America's/Discount tire) reprograms the sensors for free. I have a full size spare with TPMS that I rotate in and my models computer only recognizes 4 at a time. IIRC after 09' Toyota stopped adding a TPMS in the spare and the ECU only monitors 4 at a time.

Our sensors last about 7-9 years and tire shops (as well as @Discount Tire Direct) will sell you the sensors for around $50 that are compatible with our wheels and ECU. There should be no problem programming in new sensors when you get them.

Second and Third generation Tacoma sensors are different. Not compatible.

2010tacoma did you have any issues using this on your Tacoma? I need to install my winter tires but the dealers nuts with what they want to charge to program the TPMS’s and I know all the TPMS numbers already.

How annoying is the TPMS warning light in a Taco?
After reading this thread, I think I will forgo the TPMS in my winter set.. Sounds like a PITA trying to have two sets of wheels both with sensors.

No issues, was easy to use. Just dont forget to write the codes down before you mount the tires :)

Wow. I just paid $250 for 4 new sensors with labor for my 4Runner at Costco.
