call me a retard, but I can't seem to disconnect my sway bar. The bolt just keeps spinning and spinning without moving along the threads. I've read that you need an allen to place in the top of the bolt but the bottom end of the link is circular, what should be my next course of action?

Pry on the joint a little while you spin it with an impact gun, sometimes if you put it in a bind it will come off.

Thats pretty much what happened with me.

When I first tried to take it off, it came loose then the ball would just turn. Tightened it back up, soaked it in penetrating oil and went to remove the other side. When I got back to the first side, it came off how it should. Alternatively, you could always try grabbing on to it with something, but be careful of the threads.

You can also jack up one side of the truck to force the sway bar to be used, which should bind up the bolt good enough from twisting as well. Just remember that you'll need to let the truck back down in order to remove it.

so this is an old thread, but my new problem.

I don't have an impact gun, soaked them in PB, but nothin's budging. I don't really want to cut it off either. Any other little tricks guys??
