There's tons of pictures of it on google...

I'm sure they can't all be fake.

as a firefighter and medic we see some shit. Now as far as dropping the vehicle nose when you hit the brakes this is true, but as far as a deer coming up into the windshield because of it would be a stretch but not impossible.. There are too many things at play for this. Including height of deer, vehicle, is the deer jumping, the road condition (bumpy flat, ect) With this logic you wouldnt slow down if you were about to hit a person because it would make them come through the windshield. We are taught in medic and fire school that when an adult size person gets hit by a vehicle they will go up and over a vehicle because it hits the person in the legs. A child will go under a vehicle due to it hitting above the torso and pushing the top side over and legs under. Personally i would try and stop before i went full force into any object. (unless i was trying to hit it)

I'm under the impression the above scenario is the real reason for the moose test. A deer is a good bit lower to the ground than a moose. Thus, when you hit it, you're likely hitting the body. However, a moose is basically a cow on stilts. Way heavier than a deer and the legs just snap right out from under it during impact. Then that half ton body comes into your windshield and literally hits you in the face.

Old man winter is currently bashing my area for the next couple days. But after that I'll get around to posting a video.
I still have my sway bar on with OME 886x coils. I'm undecided on whether or not to remove it.......

Do you want to know the reason that you don't hit the brakes in an emergency?

You have WAY more control of a vehicle under power than you do with the brakes slammed on and the abs howling. I am told they teach this in driving schools.

And having lived in moose country you have a way better chance going around one with the throttle down than you do sliding down the road straight at it with the brakes locked.

for some one with very little mechanical stills, I've always thought it was super hard to remove on ones own. I also didnt think any mechanic in my area would remove it for me since "its there for a reason blah blah". but apparently its a pretty simple job. Thats the only reason why I havent tried it yet. I still plan on posting a video with it on for comparison reasons for this thread. Once it stops snowing.....and isnt -20 out:goingcrazy:

It's super easy... should only take 15 or 20 minutes unless you have to remove an aftermarket skid plate coated in mud like I did.

My custom shop told me several times I'd hate my truck without the sway bar.

Eventually I insisted they remove it.

Guess what! I don't hate it!

Heavier aftermarket coils is the key though.

Bilstien 5100s. Toyota rear spring TSB upgrade. 5th rear spring added. Michelin LTX/MS-2 265-70x16 Addco rear anti-sway bar.
Unlike most here, I use my truck for work and equip it accordingly. I have 5 leaf rear springs, Bilstein shocks all around and Michelin 265X70-16 LTX M/S2 tires. I was still unsatisfied with the way it handled and added a ADDCO rear anti-sway bar.

We each have different needs from our trucks and there is no one way that is perfect for all.

I deleted my away bar when the truck was still stock legitimately one of the first 10 things I did. That was in 2014 I have not looked back since. That being said my truck is meant for off road performance being on pavement is just a nuisance

First run at 16-19 MPH (25-30KPH), and the second at 19-22 MPH (30-35KPH), not surprised it didn't budge. Wasn't going fast enough. 25MPH would be more like 40-41 KPH.
