How 'bout the cotter pin holding it in place?

Threads would cause accelerated wear methinks.

This would work. Not sure how hard it is to turn the nut with the wheel still on. :)
Those are just teflon-lined rod ends (aka "heim joints"), similar to those on Icon billet UCAs. McMaster-Carr has them. Or you can get FK- or Aurora branded ones. Note you will probably need to drill out the hole on the spindle slightly from 12mm to 1/2" to accept the 1/2" rod end shank.

Assuming the threads are relatively clean, the nut should just freely spin. I think the hardest part would be crawling under the truck to get to it! LOL

Rod ends is what I was thinking - thank you.

If I am not mistaken, the spindle holes are also tapered. Either way, drilling them should not be too difficult.

Terrible quality but you get the idea. This is closer to 30 and I could have definitely gone faster.
PS don't mind the heavy breather my 5 month old was a little excited.

Found a vendor who makes then for 4runners and fj cruisers on another website. Looks very similar to the sliding links. Maybe we can reach out and have them make some for tacoma world?

I may have as much as the video. TBH I don't think I do. Feels stable still not scary or butt puckering at all. Honestly the truck drives and feels so much better without it, I won't ever put it back on. Great feeling hitting a pothole and the whole front of the truck doesn't feel like it jumps over a couple of inches. Not the IFS can actually do what it's supposed to do. You hit a pothole and it's only on the side of the hole that it affects. MY wife can't even tell the difference with it off and she doesn't drive the truck much.

I did a little simulation run on my way back from the grocery store. No measurement, no cones, no filming (so it doesn't count). Truck didn't roll as much as I thought it would. It felt solid.

That test looks very flawed to me. When you watch how hard and far the wheels are turned per vehicle, it looks like they deliberately tried to exaggerate the hilux by going farther and wider in the turn and cutting harder and holding the wheels cut longer, purposely trying to get it to roll compared to the others. The other vehicles were already cutting the wheels back before the rear had stopped any slide. The hilux didn't correct the wheels until it was starting to roll. It just doesn't look right to me. But that's just me. Test is too easy to cause skewed results

Why not? It's free and quick. You took the time to post nonsene so why not put up? You have a phone with a camera and can find a rock to support it. Simple shit.

been running without a swaybar for 3 years! I don't hesitate to let my wife drive the truck either. My ICON's don't hurt to help performance.
