I feel you that's been bothering me to! I think I'm gonna go with some KC or Hella lights to fill in some of the emptiness

Nice truck man! I've got the same model, and LOVE this color! Where did you find those headlights? Ebay? How do you like them?? Any issues with them so far??

So over the past couple weeks i decided to wrap my truck in vinyl. Being interested for a ling time, i finally pulled the trigger. I called around all over the place getting estimates but found myself about to spend right around $3k. After i looked into it a little more i started watching videos and i ended up buying the vinyl and wrapping it myself. Total cost was just shy of $500. There are tons of vinyls on the market but i bought the 3M becuase of the rating. (There are cheaper options)

here are some pictures of the truck in the process...

I'm a perfectionist and it was my first wrap so it took me a solid couple days. After doing it once I think I could do it in 1 full day or possibly 2. The time consuming part is taking off the plastic, handles and misc. stuff like that. Feel free to message me with anything if you need any help at all

haven't updated here in a while. Im parting with some goods on the truck so take them from me. PLEASE! I'm honestly not lookin for much here. Im hoping someone can make good of these. I can feel myself posting some these in the free thread eventually but if i can't get rid of them ill also entertain some trades or offers. I don't know what kind of low balls i can get on already low prices.

Went with a mid travel and and some new shoes so heres some parts from that:

    285/65/18 Toyo all terrains (NOT AT2's) -- $50 each/ TOTAL $200 (thats less than 1 brand new tire! and you'll get 4!!!)
they've been driven on, ill be real. They have 45k miles on them. the positive to take from these tires: when i got the new nitto's at the shop, they loaded me up with some old bald tires (which weren't mine) and I went in the back to give them back they had my Toyo's nicely stacked inside the shop looking like someone was going to snag them from me. So someone on here must find some use for them! I'm not lookin for much out of these but they still have some tread.. some..

they have no gashes, tears, or never been repaired

    they have been stored inside!

and they still have some life!

Also I've got my stock Spindles, Control arms, and (not stock) 5100 Bilstein front shocks

Ideally they would go together but i guess id split them up if i had to. everything stock has 72,000 miles on them. Honestly come take them from me, I won't hustle you. The Billies were put on with the toyo's and have 45k miles as well. Anyone who wants the 5100's can take the rest. Otherwise they are FREE!

    Heres whats FREE
    [IMG]

Heres whats NOT free -- Lookin for $80
    [IMG]

Lastly, some audio components. I took out the iPad thinking the truck was going to be sold/ now that I have the mid travel, I don't want to mess with an iPad in the dash while in the sand.

This is an Audio Control Three. Two - Retail $240 on crutchfield
TacomaWorld special gets it for $100 bones. Its basically brand new, I've been away at school for a year and haven't even used it. The thing has been used for maybe 10 hours. Original box, and wiring harness included. no scratches, dings, mistreatment or nothin. Lights up with blue backlight

Brushed Gray Aluminum wrap, complete! This is my second wrap, the first being the Matte White wrap from almost 2 years ago. (http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/241083-matte-white-vinyl-wrap.html). If any of you have seen the first wrap, let me know which one you like better.

These wraps are very different, this wrap has a different look with a lot of changes on the tacoma itself. Since the last wrap i have gone with the mid travel fox setup, a pre runner bumper (thanks @jeffz0rz), some plastidiped wheels and the removal of the fender flares, and some various black accents along the way.

i ended up buying a cheaper brand vinyl because the 3m cost was much more than a normal color, but that was a big mistake! buy the good stuff, it will go on so much easier!! this gave me trouble from the start.

as i just mentioned, I did away with the flares and i wrapped right over the holes on the fenders. the wrap hides the holes perfectly, and it gives the body a little more stance with the mid travel.

enough talk.. heres the pics (more or less a start to finish timeline)

The blue behind the bumper was fixed up with a little gray plastidip that matches the wrap pretty well

    hids, kings, total chaos.
i personally like the white wrap more. im thinking about wrapping my truck gloss white with black accents to make teh white/black look work together. how do you wrap under the rear window? do you remove the bed or just wrap as deep into the cab/bed as much as you can?

Sorry to get back to you so late haha, but the wrap is holding up well. Brought the truck out to Texas for school, and while I am not a fan of the weather, the truck and wrap seem to be doing just fine!

Been a while since I've updated this thread. But sad to say the taco is a goner! She got in a crash (I was not driving the truck, my mother was borrowing it). It was hit by someone running a red light straight to the passenger side. Caused a rollover damaging both sides of the truck. No injuries, everyone is okay which is what matters most. But the truck is toast.

I appreciate everyone who took the time to respond to my questions, to answer my DM's, and to entertain my humor over the years. This was my first car/truck, its sad to see her go!

Not sure what the timeline will be for another tacoma. I have another daily driver, but I know I will miss the convenience of having a truck around
