I have my Tacoma, a Lexus IS300, and my brother has a Honda Pilot, and my dad has a Corolla. We are in one household. I use the Porter Cable whenever I can. And it works great!

Either one would work. The Ebay link kit gives you both a coarse and fine polish so you don't have to buy them separately. So it pretty much comes down to pricing. Which one is a better value to you?

I would also recommend the Megs kit over the wolfgang. That 105/205 combo is really killer and probably the most popular right now. Easy to use and great results. Go for it

    i prefer optimum products.

optimum polish on a green, white or orange pad should take care of swirls or light scratches easily with a DA on this paint. it depends on the severity - i'd start with white probably and see how fast it works. my truck is new but i hit a few spots after the post-delivery wash and was able to make quick work of them.

optimum polish and compound do not dust very much if at all and have really long working times. the megs combo is good but is definitely not as user friendly as the optimum combination. i also like how the optimum compound can actually finish like a polish. and it is pretty aggressive but not overly so. great product line, imo.

for the people who end up reading this in the future, to get started in paint correction, i'd get the DA, optimum polish and compound, 5" backing plate, 3x 5.5" orange, 2x 5.5" white and 2x 5.5" green pads. then, i'd get the smaller 3" plate, 2x low profile orange pads and 1x green 4" "spot buff". keep in mind if you use the 3" orange low pro pads, you'll have to trim the small backing plate a bit so it matches the velcro pad, but that is no big deal and the plate will work with all 4" pads even when trimmed.

a tip - put a thick mark with a sharpie going from top to bottom of the foam edge of your backing plates. this way you'll have a gauge to see if the pad is actually spinning or if you are putting too much pressure on the machine.

I just did my truck today with the Porter Cable. I have been using it for years with great results. I have little no swirls in a 3 year old truck. I swear by it.

Kid of a bad pic but look at the reflection in the hood. I also need to get to the headlights. They are getting cloudier by the day.
