I prefer my plastic Benchmade non auto Griptillian....got rid of my Infidel. Couldn't bring myself to use it on boxes etc.

Side bar - Arcteryx makes great stuff. have tons of their gear...but give Ice Breaker base layers a shot. 100% merino. Love it.

So have you and Iggy teamed up to provide a plug and play package to compete with those other guys......with non waterproof boxes :D

Nice! Remember. I make investments. Not purchases. I look and see the benefit of the item. Warranty, retention of value, resale value, scarcity, availability of parts... Like to know if I get into something, I will be able to get out of it whee I need to be in a pinch.

You have one thing there that I am not into. I will babysit a beer all night. Not a big drinker. Again, cost vs benefit decision. ;) So much bad can come of it on my end.

I have SmartWool, IceBreakers, IBEX, Point 6, Arc'Teryx, Patagonia, TNF, and love them all. Been into outdoors as far back as I can remember. Still have pieces from the 90's.

Not necessarily, not teamed up per sey. Our respective individual products, along with Yotamac's, just go hand in hand. We all got into these things at different times and people have just been naturally making the smart decisions in combining this gear.

People have access to cutters and jets that I do not.

Due to time for now I connected it to the box. If at any time I need the extra relay I'll rewire. Once I get off at midnight I'm going to finish putting the truck back together

I use the Marine grade waterproof heat shrink tubing. Cut a piece about an .75" long. Then cut a line up one side about three quarters way up. or cut both sides. When you slide it onto the wire BEFORE you splice in. You are able to pull it onto the spliced wire creating a 'T'. At that point, you just use a heat gun and shrink it on the joint. With the marine grade heat shrink tubing there is an adhesive in there that flows when it is heated. As it melts, just Pinch the joint quickly with your fingers so you don't get burned. It will adhere to the wires and itself creating a waterproof joint.

Or just use electrical tape. Wrap it in a football or flag formation alternating sides of each wire.

Even another option, use the liquid tape to seal the joint.

Soldering is not critical, especially for the low voltage circuit that the DIMMER requires.

Iggy...my rubber edge trim comes in today, so I'll be wrapping the panel edges and then posting up some pics later. Should give it a more lock-tite fit in the cubby...
