Top of the fuse box is easiest and cheapest route! I had both Switchpro and Bluesea mounted there.

if you got your hands on one, you would see why. they are very high quality, and made by hand. smallest and most versatile switch panel on the market.

I was looking at building a bussman until I found this. By the time I bought all of the components it still would have been close to the same price as a pre assembled bussman. Then I would have needed a switch panel, switches and a custom cut plate to mount the bussman to. Add all that up and it's not too far off from the switch-pro. Take into account this system is frequently 20 percent off on auto anything and the time saved adding accessories I'd say it's an absolute steal!! I actually think this has been favorite addition I've ever made to any of my vehicles.

Okay so I heard a pretty alarming remark today about Switch Pro systems... From someone who I would consider a reliable and knowledgable source, and also a well known dealer here on TW...

Without saying who and throwing them under the bus, they stated that they had heard about multiple instances where Switch Pro system randomly caught fire on their own.

I'm bummed cuz I was leaning towards switch pros over spod.

Anyone else hear about this? Is this nuts? I feel like this would be all over the review pages?

Solid State switching can do this very easily unless it has a solid ground. I've seen several MVLS catch fire due to faulty grounds.

I assumed this was a pretty far fetched idea... And yes I agree... Gossip, perhaps. But I figured I'd see what your responses would be.

Good to know about the ground but that's electrical 101.

Still thinking about going with Switch Pros, if I can find it on sale soon.... After all, I'm not sure Id like the touchscreen from spod anyways... may need to hit up @XPOTRPR for one of his mounts.

@L3Goullon if you don't already subscribe to AutoAnything's email for promotions, do so and you get 20% off of your first purchase. That being said, you can get the switch-pro for $383.20 with free shipping. I tried this last night and it worked just fine.

I originally did the same, and when they then came out with a 25% off sale I called them back and since they have a one year low price guarantee they refunded the difference for me. So even if you get 20% off keep your eyes open for when they offer that 25% off sale and call them back.
