I plan to splice the yellow wire in to the wire jump I added in the relay box when I did the "Fog light any time" mod. That wire is "on with key turned" so that should work.

So far I haven't found a good place to splice in the blue. I'm not a fan of tapping directly into the light wiring. I've been looking for a good diagram of what's in the fuse/relay box in the engine compartment - hoping there's a relay or fuse that powers the marker lights. Nothing yet though.

Damn, that's clean, I like it. Looks like I'll be going this route.

How do you deal with the slight curve on that part though?

LOVE IT. It was a Christmas gift. I got it wired up and working like a champ. Currently its wired to turn on my Roof light, Bumper light, Fog lights, Air compressor.... I'll soon use one of the circuits when i get a dual battery setup installed for the solenoid. I've also been looking at rock lights for the night time offroading. I might use the remaining buttons for rock lights. Great product!

Nice. I plan to pick one up later this year for fogs, bed light, rock/hitch light, LED bunny burners, LED backups, and possible strobe hazards. I might need a switch for the winch but I think that takes a larger breaker than the Switch Pro has.

Curious, Why would you waste a switch on this for your fogs? Why not just wire them directly to the fog light switch and do the fog light anytime mod?

Its exactly what I did for mine, just need to do the fog light anytime mod now. 10w LED pods light up the road like nobodies business!

@Spixelz I don't think I have any kind of switch for fogs. My first gen doesn't have them.

Yeah, they specifically say not to run a winch off their controller. Too bad, although maybe you could still wire up the controls while still running the power draw directly off the battery.

I'm still torn between a 6 switch panel with rockers, or a switchpro.. It doesnt help that I'm trying to do something different with my lighting..

    need some input guys..

If I go with the standard 6 switch rocker setup:
Half of my lighting will require 3 pole switches (on/off/on). The problem is, getting those 3 position switches wired up to work as you would want them to (with the center description lit up all the time and then the switched to accessory lit up) you need twice as many relays and even then its a partial solution. This will leave me with 3 open slots after the 3 pole lighting is done. I can use regular 2 pole switches for the remainders and they will work as they should. one will be taken up by rock lights, so then there's two open spots left.

    If I go with a SwitchPro-8:
I will have 2 more switches, but can use them all as intended. all lights will work, etc, but have to use one switch each for the 3 pole lights, which means I will have 1 open slot after my rock lights. its smaller, has more switches allowing me to use it how it should, easy to use, mounts anywhere.

price is going to be about the same.. Switchpro just a little more.

    rough idea..

so either like this.. (with switches, the first 3 being 3 pole)

    or this..

mounted in the sunglasses holder or in the center console.

I think both the SwitchPro and a single DIN carling switch panel have a place. The SwitchPro is great for small stuff like lighting, especially since almost everything is LED now with almost no current draw. The DIN is best for the heavy stuff like winches, lockers, pumps, etc.

true.. I could keep all my lighting to the switchpro.. and accessories when that happens, to rockers.

You could do what I do, which is to be caught in a never-ending cycle of buying switches for your accessories and accessories for your switches.

    no thanks! lol

I have been planning this out for a long time now. I like to thoroughly go over every option and obstacle when modding. I want to make sure this thing is somewhat future proof. proving to be difficult.

If I can get it dialed in, I'm sure I can make a small batch for others as well.
