Yeah I was also thinking about using Velcro or a magnet to hold while driving but within reach so I can just remove it if needed. The Velcro seems stronger but magnets sound like it will be easier to quickly grab, remove, and reattach. I'll have to call Switch Pros to see if a magnet will hurt the control head.

I put my control box in the center-most sunglasses flip down and it's working great. If you mount it towards the fulcrum and not the clasp, you can hit the buttons just fine without triggering the clasp.

I was planning on running power and outlets into the bed for my CVT lights and to charge other accessories as well... ended up just getting this guy..

has worked wonders! plenty of power to last us on 3-4 day trips. charges all our stuff easily. even jumped another members truck after his died from charging his stuff.

I originally had mine loose as well, for that same reason. it just didnt work right. looked like crap and you can always use the app and bluetooth.

I'm probably going to use it to control the 12v into the AT Habitat when I get that installed, but it'll mostly be for shits and giggles, since I'll still need switching inside the camper. Maybe I can get an old iPod touch for Bluetooth remote inside the bed. That sounds like the kind of pointless upgrade I love doing.

hahaha.. I hear that. the GPS I'm getting has bluetooth.. plan is to use it for those controls and my gopro app.. leaving my phone completely unused. turn it to Airplane mode.. and you have a camera for the whole weekend. Although, I play music to a bluetooth speaker while camping.

The customer service at Switch-Pros is amazing. I needed the vertical orientation switch labels for my setup, but also needed 2 more (3 total) amber labels and they only include one per label pack. I ordered one vertical pack at the 10 bucks shipped price.. But was still short and dont need all the other labels. So.. I emailed them, explained the situation, and got a reply minutes later that 2 vertical sheets are shipping today!

also.. anybody successfully connect their phone via bluetooth? My phone scans, but the Switchpro never shows up. I've tried restarting everything, clearing apps, running the truck, etc. I'ts like it just doesn't have BT capabilities.

I have had no trouble connecting the Bluetooth and using it for the programming or controlling.
You have the switch pro app installed?

    Just checking. You never know.
I think I had read a post or review where someone else had the same problem and it was replaced by Switch Pro.

So does anyone have pics or can explain exactly which wires they tapped in to for the blue and yellow?

switch pros arrived the other day and hopefully I get time to mount it this weekend.

I sure hope that's not the case..

I tapped into my DTRL for the illumination/dimmer and for me I used my Intercooler pump wire for switch.

I ran the ignition switch line into the cab and used the add-a-fuse on the internal fuse box. I tried every single fuse in the engine bay and they were all live even without a key in the ignition. I tapped my light signal off a headlight marker (not the headlight itself).

Alright, got the app to work with my old Note 2. I really just wanted to play with it and program the buttons. have everything how I want them.. so not a biggie that I cant use the BT.. maybe they will release an update or something for my phone. although.. the Garmin I plan on getting has BT as well and I bet it works with that :D regardless.. I still love this thing and cant wait to start hooking up my lighting this weekend!

@Moose1988 Have you had time to play round with flush mounting?

Alternatively, I was in a UPS store that had a 3D printer. Got me thinking if you weren't going that route it may be fun try on my own. Do you have a recommendation on software? Preferably something with a short learning curve?

lol.. I wish I had more buttons :pout: I'm actually trying to figure out if I can wire up a couple lights on the same switch so I can have one switch dedicated for a Master switch.

I have not.. :( busy at work, and just havent gotten around to taking my back apart to mess with it.

I'm not sure on programs. I use Solidworks here at work.
