Yep. I think its 18 for the singles and 36 for the doubles. The 8100 like I have only had the 1 36 amp slot, the 9100 has 4.

I was in the same boat and both are good options. I got a good deal on a switchpro so I jumped on it. The bussman offers a good budget aternative, but still took up too much room for me with all the carling switches, etc. The switchpro panel fits perfectly in the dead space on 2nd gen shift bezels.

Yeah, my grommet is packed with 3 ham coax cables, the ham power cables, and a few extra wires for other stuff not switchpro related. Having just the one thicker wire pass into the cab was a necessity for me.

    Switches 5-8 are 36amps and 1-4 are 18amps. That's why 5-8 are doubled up.

So what you can do on those four switches. You can use to 14 gauge ring connectors and put them on the same terminal on a terminal block or you can use one 12 gauge compare the wires to that one ring connector.

What do you all do with the wires that accumulate underneath the switchpro? I have the bussman combo with a powertray, and wires are already starting to accumulate down there. I've got them zip tied, but I'd like to approach that with the same goal as what the powertray/switchpro is trying to solve.

I cut all the excess slack off my extra wiring down there.

Yeah the way I wired my stuff necessitated connecting it to the blue sea first. I suppose I'll have to go back and cut slack and re-crimp stuff. PITA though. Nothing takes more time than doing shit the right way.

I'm happy to report an answer to my question. Soundwaves of Tampa has a versatile crew that were very comfortable with the (re)install. They hooked up an always on front/rear camera and my ARB compressor to the switchpros.

Basic questions about SwitchPro 9100 product integrated into a *dual battery setup*. Tried to find the answers by browsing posts, their websites, etc. and have a request for them to contact me, but still unclear:

    1) Could I have the all the power for accessories coming from a secondary battery, but have the switching for the accessories split across (a) ignition, (b) lighting (e.g. high beam circuit), and (c) basic switched on/off regardless of whether the truck is off or on.

    2) Can you operate the switchpro 9100 switches even if the truck is off?

    3) Can you operate the switchpro 9100 switches via Bluetooth function even if the truck is off?

I’m looking to operate a combination of aux lights wired into truck ignition / light circuits, safety and camp lighting that is switchable even when ignition is off, and a couple other camp accessories that I’d perhaps like to be able to switch remotely via the Bluetooth. Would also like to be able to read the power level of the aux battery from the app also, etc.

Hope some of that makes sense and somebody has insights!

Answers to all these are yes.

    Details:
    1. all the conditions of (a), (b) and (c) are dictated by the trigger wires and the most popular way to use them connect to an add-a-fuse (although you could tap into some circuits). So having a secondary power source for the switch shouldn't be an issue.

    2. yup. you set it up so that the switches can be turned on and off only when ignition is on or all the time.

    3. Yup. its bluetooth is always available even when truck is off. although I'm not 100% sure if you set a switch to only turn on/off with ignition if it'll work once you connect to bluetooth. I have a feeling it will, but I'm not 100% sure.

    Thx for that info @Hextall.

Is there any reason to run things also through a fuse box if they are controlled by the Switchpros 9100?

I see a lot of setups where people have the “bus bar” (which I think i understand is to have a nice cable management / grounding solution for the wiring)?

.... but most people also seem to run a bunch of things also through a fuse box? Are these for non-switchpro controlled accessories?

Is there some added benefit for redundancy of fuses + switchpros 9100 controls that I am missing?

I am one of those people with a fuse box, busbar, terminal block and powertray working in conjuction with my switchpro.

To answer your specific question... no, there isnt' any real reason that I know of to run accessories that the switch pro is going to control through a fuse box, and I don't think anybody powers stuff through both (maybe a person here or there). My fuse box is for non-SP controlled things... like my bed lights. I have a switch in the bed to turn on the LED lights that are sold here in the 3rd gen market place (so the swithpro powering it isn't practical), and I also power my front camera through the fuse box. I have a lot more spaces open and not many future plans... maybe hood lights, or even a compressor some day (not sure about the compressor, I'm reaching for things that might work).

The switchpro comes built with four switches rated for 20 amps, and four are 35 amps (the ones with two wires of the same color). So running additional fuses are redundant. but since both the fuse box and switchpro provide power... I'm not sure how that would work anyway.

The busbar (positive) and terminal block (ground) makes wiring more organized. Add an accessory, adn you just have to attach its wires to the busbar on the switch you want to operate with teh SP and then the ground goes to the terminal block.

One thing to think about, I have oen of these with a 100amp fuse: https://www.powertrays.com/products/blue-sea-5191-mrbf-terminal-fuse-block-30-to-300a
It attaches to the positive terminal on the battery, so that if there are any shorts anywhere in my truck strong enough to cause a fire, this should help prevent it.

This is a pic before I started adding stuff to the switchpro. All I do is wire the accessory across from the colored wire I want, the ground to the ground terminal block, and away we go.

Which camera anytime harness are you using? I have one from another TW member (HAI the with add on cable from Hoangde) and I am trying to figure out how to wire it to the sp9100.

Anyone else running front/rear camera set ups through the sp9100?

The www.anytimebackupcamera.com harness. I only needed one wire for the rear override because one of the wires has 12v already. On another switch I have the power for the front camera wired on the same circuit and the relay to switch the override input to the front camera.

So you want to be able to use the switch to turn the rock lights on at will, AND follow the same on/off pattern as the dome light correct?

I think this is a little bit more technically advanced. I am super curious about this too since I want to do the exact same thing with bed lights.

This is a good question... I'm not sure. I know that you can set a timer on a light staying on x seconds after the ignition turns off, but not sure about relative to a trigger light.

I have the amberbacklights on a Baja Designs S8 on a switchpro swithc, and they stay on for 5 seconds after the truck shuts off. The ignition trigger is no different a signal than hooking the pink wire up to the dome light trigger... but I feel like when I went into settings for this, it specifically was a settings item linked to ignition, and not a different trigger.

That's correct. I'm sure I could figure out a way to wire the rock lights to a separate timer for dome light triggering and still use the SP for continuous on when needed, but it would be great if the SP would just do it all.
