They come with a 5 amp fuse. Just use that

They're just signal wires and the current draw is basically parasitic (on the order of mA). They're just looking for voltage on that specific vehicle circuit. I put 2A fuses in all three.

 

It's been a while since I had gotten back to checking on this but opening things up I realized I do actually have it wired correctly, or at least I don't have that constant 12v wired to anything so it has to be something else. I can hear the relay clicking but the screen just goes blank. Unplugging those harnesses and plugging the factory ones back in and the video works. It's gotta be something dumb I'm doing, but apparently I've out- dumbed myself this time.

 

im looking to make a wire harness for my s8. Did you use 12g wire and if so I saw the Delphi weather packs for 12g had blue terminal seals but you using red ones. I was planning to use 12g wire but was unable to fit the copper in the weather pack terminal that came with the light. Did you use 14gauge? Also it looks like you used red, red, black for the connector to the green, white, black that comes off the light. Is that right?

The wire color is neither here nor there. I pre-wired using 10ga wire for the 40" S8 I have coming my way. 12ga is fine. You can get Delphi terminal kits (like I did) that will fit 10/12ga wiring:

Honestly, I should have gone with the metri-pack setup, but I'm cheap and couldn't find a decent knock off.

 

I like this set up. I assume you made the mounting plates for the terminal blocks yourself? Got some details on how this is put together?

 

Does anyone have a good shot of where the power trays leg attaches to the fender? It says the bracket the two differential hoses are attached to but that feels like a rubber plug not a bolt. Any guidance?

Think it's normal.

 

normal. The 3 lights tell you if that wire is active.

Connect outside the app first.

 

sometimes it doesn’t like to connect. Usually a power cycle solves the problem for me.

 

well i'm at a loss, last night i connected one of my ditch lights to the switch pros and it worked like a charm. This morning i went to attach that same harness and the light won't power on. I connected both ditch lights straight to the battery and they both work. I opened the fuse box, and the fuses for the white, pink and blue wires are all intact and didnt see anythihg else damaged. The switch pros switch panel back lights, the headlight dimmer works. I'm at a complete loss...

 

Did you try it on another output from the Switch Pro?
