I connected mine to the terminal strip. Other end is open/empty. They're circuit protected anyway. I gooped a generous amount of dielectric on them though.

Another option is cut ends and use heat shrink tubing with glue insert. That will completely cap off the wire

That’s what I ended up doing. Only using switches 1-6. Put heat shrink on 7-8.
Last steps will happen tomorrow ! I’m stoked. Customized my SDHQ mount 2794ECD3-B171-448E-B18A-3D42FFE0E778.jpg and prepped all the cable. Ran most of the accessories cables too. I’m not going the horizontal tray route. But I added a central buss bar to ground in the same place.

Yup, what @AY_ARONTRD said, overhang the heat shrink then pinch the end while it's hot.

So I went this route and it worked just fine.. Had to extend the auto high beam switch to the center stack.. SDHQ was in process of making a specific panel, but I couldn't wait for it.

    Hope this helps -

    John~

Unfortunately I dont have room on my center part. So that is where I'm at a loss on what to do. It doesnt help that I know nothing about wiring.

Sorry if I missed this, but have you called SDHQ ? It's been 2 months since they were working on that panel... Perhaps they are about ready.

Other options are a "large" switch and you wire in the traction control or auto high beams into the large blank position.

My last option was just to tuck the auto high beam switch behind the panel since I've tried it and dont like it... It's the one switch I can do without... I'll never use it.

    Best of luck -

    John

I did think about trying to use the larger switch. But is there a way I can connect the wiring to a bigger switch that actually fits the larger hole? Make sense?

And I am actually trying to chat with SDHQ on Instagram to figure it out. They have not said anything about having something that works specifically for it...just mentioned I may have to relocate the switch.

Yes - CH4x4.com has large switches, but you get a pigtail and then need to figure out what wires will need to go where. I have not seen a diagram that gives a 100% answer on this... I would do the high beam if any switch as I don't want to muck with a traction control button.... I believe the auto high has 2 less wires IIRC....

I've also seen some large traction control OEM switches for 2nd GEN trucks, but have been unable to confirm if the wiring is the same.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

Where’d you get the blank for the HAM radio plug?

So I just looked and realized I have a spot or two up top. Is there a place that would custom make this panel to make it look professional? I dont want to cut into it myself and ruin it. I will probably put my auto high beams up high and traction control switch where the auto high beams switch is. I dont feel comfortable trying to splice wires to the traction control switch just to make the wiring long enough to run through my A Pillar and roof.

meso makes a panel that goes up there (not sure if he has one for the 2020s yet with that extra button)

not sure that theres anyone that makes extensions for the switches
