Someone else brought up the struts. I didn't mention them until he did. Hadn't made it that far yet haha.

I just need to call the vendor tomorrow and ask them about the clutch relo bracket interference with the SP.

Just to wrap up my issue in case anyone searches this.

The NEW vertical Switch Pros mount made by Power Trays does NOT work with Manual trucks. I spoke with Power Trays today.

They suggested moving the clutch reservoir torward the firewall on the fender to allow clearance for the vertically mounted SP in their tray.

Just finished my install. Took forever, but I spent a lot of time with the details... waterproof connections, UV stable tubing all tied up out of the way, etc. Super happy with the results.

How did you waterproof the connections? I’ve had my set up for over a year and still haven’t installed it lol

I am doing my own switchpro install and this is super helpful. I do have a couple of questions though:
    1. Did you try the P/OUTLET NO 2 fuse for the Ignition Trigger (Light Blue)? I was planning to tap into that only in my 2019 OR it reads USB. Seems like a low risk circuit to tap into for ignition
    2. For the Light input/T2 or white wire, you chose the DOME fuse. Does that dim the backlighting on your switch panel when the headlights turn on? If yes, did you have to program that as a active high or active low trigger?

Using the headlights as a signal to dim the button panel is an old fashioned way of doing things. These trucks have separate dimming circuits for the dash. It dims when the light levels are low. I'm gonna tap into the dimming line on the back of the radio.

why would you pull wires into the cab when you can use add a fuse under the hood in the main fuse box?

seems like a lot of unnecessary work and extra wiring.

all 3 of my wires are run into the fuse box right by the battery (ignition, lights, trigger)

Because I don't want the display to dim just because the headlights are on. I was hoping to have it dim when the rest of the dash dims per the daylight sensor.

Isn’t that sensor the one that turns on the lights when set to auto?

I guess mine are always set to auto so it accomplishes the same thing just tying them into the lights.

You can buy marine double-walled heatshrink with glue in them, the official water penetration “rating” is “No penetration after 236 hrs of continuous immersion” for connections that are more permanent. The biggest help is removing the standard wiring connectors that most lights will have, and replace with Deutsch connectors. These have IP67 rating but are just shy of IP68.
You can go more permanent by doing the heat shrink (better waterproofing), but that’s personal preference. I have my grille high or higher stuff with the deutsch connectors, marine heat shrink for fogs and will do the same on my 20” bar for the bumper when I get it. I have Baja Designs so they also have a IP69 rating.
There’s no way that I know of the waterproof the fuse block and the stuff up there, so I did the same heat shrink just to prevent corrosion and whatnot. Submerging up to the top of my hood would give me way more problems than just those connections anyways lol.

It’s the “VERTICAL MOUNT SWITCH-PROS POWERTRAY >05-CURRENT TACOMA >TRD OFF ROAD/PRO” from Powertray. You can also get it from Cali Raised that comes with the full install kit including the fuse block and all that. it’s mounts in front of the fuse box so make sure your Rago mount doesn’t try to put the compressor there. I have my compressor on the other side but am trying to find a new spot so I can run a second battery.

After I run a dual battery I’ll likely be moving my starter battery to the passenger side and make the driver side stock location my aux battery with this system running off the aux. (You can fit a bigger battery here)

Could you list specifically which fuse slots you used under the hood? I'm about to choose where to install these 3 wires and am thinking where to choose them!
Also, did you do anything special to be able to close the under hood fuse box after using the add a fuses?
    Thanks so much

INJ is what’re i used for ignition. Low beam for light. High beam trigger

If you remove the 10mm from the fuse box, you can unclip and disassemble the harness and come in with the factory wires.

Closes just fine. Just make sure all the wires are inside and dont get pinched by the lid

I circled the fuses that I think you tapped.
Could you break them down for me?
    3: ignition
    2:

Im not sure which ones high beams and then normal low lights to have the SP dim.

    Thanks again!

Guys so just to be clear. When wiring out lights (s8) to the switch pro we are snipping off the relay from wiring harness?

Yup. Chop it and wire straight to the switch pro. You only need the positive and ground wire after the relay to the lights.

depending on the draw of your lights, you may need to wire it to switches 5-8

so far anything 30” or smaller I’ve had work on 1-4. My 40” needed to goto one of the higher power switches (5-8)
