Finally got my powertrays mount this week that was on back order for the longest time. Got it installed today and cleaned up the wiring. Only a hidden bumper light bar and ditch lights wired up so far, but there will eventually be rear facing scene lights, a roof rack light bar and possibly some aux reverse lights yet to come. Dave’s headlight harness is where I tapped the high beam signal for trigger 1 and the parking light signal for backlight dimming. Ignition wire is run to the 10A inj fuse with a fuse tap. Everything is in loom and heat shrink to keep the install as clean as possible. I’m trying to decide if I should leave the controller harness coiled, or cut the length back so it is a better fit. I’m thinking I’ll leave it coiled so I don’t mess with the factory sheathing. (Not sure why the first picture is sideways, it’s upright on my phone.)

I've finished re-wiring all my lights into Switch Pro.

I have 3 lights that have amber backlighting, and I want to put them to one switch on the switch pros.

Does anyone know of a 3 to 1 connector or similar I could use to connect them cleanly? I know I can cut and solder/heatshrink them all, but that's a pretty big joint. I really should have just used another bus bar but didn't think ahead enough.

for 3 into 1, I will usually put 2 wires into one side of a butt connector, the 3rd into the other side with the single wire out to the switch-pros. this helps with keeping the crimps even/secure on a butt connector. with good 3:1 double wall adhesive heat shrink on top of that, it should be a lot more weather sealed than a buss bar would be.

Is this what you are describing? Not trying to steal your thunder, just trying to visualize before I make a mistake for misunderstanding.0DB2EC36-A5B8-4AC4-8DB7-7239DE822005.jpg

Morning TW. I searched this thread but couldn't find - so apologize if this is redundant (likely so).

I have a SwithPro 9100 installed. I am simply looking for the best/easiest trigger source to trigger my roof rack BD Rock Lights with interior/dome lighting. The rock lights run off the 9100, standard on/off push button config ATM. Is there a good T Tap or Add-A-Fuse source on the engine side of the firewall where the pink wire/9100 already are? Or do I need to pull the pink wire through the firewall and add-a-fuse off the dome circuit on the secondary cabin fuse panel? Or something else entirely?

    Thanks in advance.

I think you are going to need to use something like the DSIM module as the dome lights are a negative trigger. See here https://dsimsolutions.com/products/domerock-v4 Then you'd hook the 9100 trigger to the DSIM.

But maybe someone else has a better way.

That's the same spot, he just has a sunroof so the headliner is shaped a bit different

I did this for my Tacoma. Made some little brackets that slip over the headliner at the sun roof. Need to make new ones a bit longer though.

    3D3B3857-0CB6-45FB-937C-719349A9DF47.jpg

on my previous f150 I just put holes in the headliner and used the mounting hardware.
