    Hey there TW!

So I will be purchasing the switch Pros 9100 and just reasearching mounting solutions and would love some feedback!
I love the look of the power trays setup as it looks very well organized and adding/removing plug ins looks like a breeze. The issue I having is how exposed everything looks sitting upright they way it is. Especially the module. As far as the SDHQ mount seems like a better positioning to minimize water exposure, but not as clean to mount in plugs ins, ground, etc.

Any feedback or first hand experiences are welcome.

    Thank you in advance.

had my power trays/switchpros for over a year now. no issues. FYI I believe the SDHQ mount interferes with redline hood struts if you have or ever plan on getting those

@solscooter thanks for the feedback. I have noticed those redline hood struts as well, but that’s far down the list of mods I would like to tackle. Being that I am not the most technical when it comes to the electrical aspect of all this i am just trying to wrap my head around the whole setup and which is more benifical/least amount of potential issues. I read up on @Powder taco install as well. Any updated photos of your finished setup? Is the blue sea circuit terminal block and ground box necessary as all
Photos with a power tray suggest?

allows you to run things that need constant power but not necessarily controlled by the switch pros. I have my CB and a set of bed lights wired to it.

So with the power module for switch pros mounted that way no issue with over exposure to water/moisture? That is my fear is it frying up if something sets there for a long period of time. I know a party of the switch Pros is water proof, but the connections themselves?
I would think they could possible void a warranty if they felt the mounting position was not to there standard?

I run the SDHQ mount and my own custom “power tray” no issues what so ever. Easy to add Accessories.

Should make a batch of those custom trays. I don’t want to pay no power trays price and have no need for that other stuff. Just a simple switch pro mount

Alright I’m new to the Automotive electrical show as well and looking at the pro switch, but was wondering g if I should do a tray for constant things on its own and run a small tray with just the ignition wire going to it to be able to have some things not in the switch pro running only when the truck is. Is that way overkill or does anyone have it?

I have no water on any of the components with the PowerTrays after some heavy rainfall or any hand washing.

The Blue Sea is my constant power and I power a 12V gauge and 3.0USB's and my 3TPAM

    Any
Did you have to buy the power tray separate from the switch pros power tray setup or did it all come in one package?

Did you end up using 1/0 for the leads or smaller wire size? Seems overkill amperage wise, but it wouldn’t hurt.

I don't understand how it all connects into one fluid system, though. The power tray connects to battery, and the SP does too or that connects to the PT? I will be checking more threads for answers as well. Thanks

The battery feeds the fuse block by attaching it to the positive side of the fuse block and then you just feed the switch pro from the fuse block. Switch pro will control anything you want to have as a switchable option and anything else can just be tapped off of the fuse block.
