Thanks! I am real happy with it..it’s definitely the result of lots of research on here and people helping along the way, so I’m glad to help!

I tried to edit my photo a bit to clarify what I think you’re asking? The “positives” terminal block is basically just to clean up wiring and make adding new accessories to the Switch Pro easier. This way, all the leads from the Switch Pro harness are already terminated and ready to go.. when you unbox the SP, these red leads are like 2-4 Ft long..definitely not something you’d want just floating around the engine bay. Also, the positives block keeps the connections mounted firmly in one spot.. I think the instructions say to use butt connectors between the positive leads and your accessories, but that’s messy!

    8EA08BA5-69A9-4BB5-8AEE-79E7124724CB.jpg
So the plan for the positives is to run a short wire from the fuse panel, to the Switch Pro, then another from the Switch Pro to my battery. For ground, short wire between fuse panel and the ground bus bar, then a wire to the fender ground. The Switch Pro has its on ground that runs off the harness and has enough wire to get you over to the fender ground as well.

Here’s a pic I stole a while ago from PowerTrays Instagram showing what mine will resemble once I’m done
    3F2DB598-3CC7-490B-A454-CD257BC3599A.jpg

I really hope that answered your question! As far as running an accesory from fuse panel to SP, I’m not sure you’d need to? I have my bed lights switched inside the bed.. were you thinking to have it set up switched inside bed and also switched through the Switch Pro? I believe that’s possible but id have to defer to someone with more electrical know-how as to how you’d do that. I wouldn’t mind knowing though! I wanna set up rock lights to activate with my dome lights (when I approach/unlock doors) and also off SP but I haven’t figured that out yet. May just do a cheap LED strip to an add a fuse to dome, then do some specific rock lights via Switch Pro, not sure yet!

Great info man, thanks a bunch! So you answered all my questions except for one, I now understand how the Fuse panel is connected to the positive terminal of the switch pros then switch pros to the battery and same goes for the accessories to the busbar then switch pros...

Where exactly are the wires coming from that are connected to the Fuse panel where the actual fuses are located? I thought these were coming directly from the accessory, but this does not appear to be the case since the accessory is connected directly to the busbar which connects to the switch pros unit.97C6F038-5439-466D-BBF8-682573386A82.jpg

@FlightMedic303 ahhh I gotcha now man. Those are straight from my accessories directly into the fuse panel. The switch Pros has nothing to do with those accessories, other than the fuse panel and SP are mounted near eachother on the tray. I actually had the fuse panel on the tray by itself for months to keep my front cam, bed lights, and water pump powered cleanly and safely.. I want those accessories powered 24/7 and they have their own switches in the bed (and no switch on the front cam) so I just ran pos/neg from the bed (and from grill for cam) into the fuse panel

It all makes sense now! Haha thanks again for all your help, I've been racking my brain trying to Picture a diagram and it just didn't add up. I'll be getting a busbar to clean everything up and make it more user friendly, probably hold off on the fuse panel til I have an ARB fridge or something that needs to be ran long term.

I’m debating to go with a Bussman rtmr style setup with oem switches for my 09 Tacoma vs. a Switch Pro. Nothing too crazy as I am only powering lights for now, possibly a winch in the future. I’m seeing a lot of people running what looks to be a fuse panel with a switch pro... I’m assuming it’s due to running more accessories than what the SP can handle right? If not, doesn’t that defeat the purpose of having the unit or did I miss something? If I go with the SP, I was going to ditch the fuse panel and just want to make sure I wasn’t missing something. Should I be researching current protection outside of what the SP offers? Thanks in advance

The switchpro is a 'key on' device. Some want to have constant battery power to certain accessories, regardless weather the truck is on or not. That's where the fuse block comes into play. Also, some want to draw too many amps though the switchpro, and have to use it as a signal for a separate relay, and then a fuse block would come into play again.

Just an update. I have had troubles with using the add-a-circuits. Overtime, the add-a-circuits have loosened and wiggle out. Fuses have occasionally blown too. Probably due to the looseness. I will be hard wiring it in.

The phone after didn't work.. trying my new phone now.. and it will recognize it.. but I can't connect because I forgot my pin. How do I reset the switchpro or reset the pin?

Hey guys, quick question. Has anyone had one of the inputs on their switch pro stop working? I have my SP wired up so that the first switch controls my white halos and the second switch is the same halos in amber. The amber switch currently works fine, but the white halo switch just blinks three times and doesnt turn the halos on, after it has been working fine for about 6 months. Anyone else experience issues like this? Does the three blinks mean that one of the wires came loose in the harness? Thats about the only thing that makes any sense since it still works fine running the same halos in amber...
    Any input/advice would be great!

Sounds to me like something's faulty in the unit. Contact switch Pros. They are really good with customer service. In one way or another they'll get you taken care of.

There's no general info thread on Switch-Pros that I could find that isn't in the 3rd gen or 2nd gen sections. But I just want to let you guys know what a stand up company they are. I just installed my 8100 unit that I bought through the guys at Camburg awhile ago, but just now installed it. I've been having issues trying to program it and sync to the iPhone app. After a few emails back and forth with Switch-Pros customer service, and trying some different trouble shooting methods I got a phone call from them today. They offered a full replacement/upgrade to their 9100 unit, shipped direct to me. I'm pretty blown away.

Did they call you that yours was available to buy? I am also on the pre-order list and just sent them an email this morning about the status of preorders.

SDHQ has a whole bunch in stock. I think they were one of the first retailers to get them.

FYI we have the SP-9100's in stock here and we have a few of the SP-8100's we're discounting $50 off until they are gone. We've installed/used a bunch of these and are really happy with them.

Has anyone tried/seen the switch-pros mounted with a RAM Mount? I am thinking about using the Clear-View Mirror Riser to mount it up out of the way. Without XPOTRPR's flush mount bracket I am torn on how to mount it. I want to be able to pull all the wiring with minimal residual damage to the vehicle when it comes time to sell it. I found a center console at pick-n-pull so I can return that to stock at the end of the trucks life (some time in 2030).

I dont see why that wouldnt work. The panel comes with a cheap bolt on clip, so this would basically be an upgrade.

*also here to playfully rub in the fact that I got the last xpotrpr mount* :brianr:

That hurts. I am kicking myself because I watched him design it then hesitated about parting with the cash for switch-pros
    - now its killing me! :frusty:
