Whoever I talked to at Switch-Pros INSISTED that they never offered that in the Bluetooth app. He made me think I was going crazy or something.

I had the app on my 8100. Had it since early 2017. I had access through the app. 2 months ago something happened and the circuit board under the hood completely burnt up. We think it may have had a grounding issue to that circuit board. I recently had a lot of wiring changes and believe that came into play but never found the actual problem. Replaced the 8100 with the 9100. We couldn't get the 9100 to power up. I drove to Switch Pro's for help and they came out to my truck and checked all the wiring and found no reason why it wouldn't power up. They asked what app i was running i told them the original app i ran my 8100 on. They decided to connect to my truck system using their app on their own phone. That somehow was the issue and it powered up in their parking lot. They had me redownload the app and its been working great since. In the end they said they were unsure why it wouldn't power up the older app may have needed to be updated to actually allow it to function. They did have an app for the 8100 I used it all the time not sure why they are saying they did not.

I’m almost certain it’s some sort of problem with the app. I started having problems when there was a major update. Thanks for confirming that I wasn’t going crazy about this.

bump on this. Im in the oposite boat. The blue light consistently stays on like its connected and i think has been killing my batterys.

Just called swithcbros and he said there isnt anything else to do other than send it in for a reset or buy a new one.

ANYONE have and insight on this issue.
