    Hey man,

for the blue wire connection, is that a 5 or 10 amp fuse that you are using? Looks like it's the 5 amp that is provided (judging by the color). Does it work for you? For me, I used the provided 5 amp and the system works when ignition is turned halfway, however, when I start the truck the engine turns on and then turns off a second later. I'm thinking it has something to do with it not being a 10 amp?

Let me know what you think, or anyone else that might know!

    Cheers

So the fuse you cant see is the red 10 amp fuse which is under the 5 amp fuse should be the orginal 10 amp fuse than the 5 amp with the add a fuse. two fuses per add a circuit. Check your fuses maybe its a bad one try swapping them out. I used a volt meeter to check for 12volts when the truck is on and when its off you want no voltage. Thats EFI fuse does that for the blue wire.

If your only running the 5amp fuse and not the 10 plus 5 that could be the issue if you are i'd say try new fuses and see if that fixes it.

Finally wired up the bed/cargo lights to the SP8100. Man I'm still amazed that I can control the lights via BT.

Has anyone wired up something like these before?

    http://www.whelen.com/auto/product.php?head_id=12&cat_id=74&prod_id=648

They have a Alley and puddle light wire separate from the caution light which can be activated separately.

I am looking to do these types of lights, 2 left, 2 right, 2 rear and want to have controls for each side separately (left strobe pattern, left alley/puddle light on, etc)
If I press ON (1 click) with the Switch Pros, will the caution lights revert to their programmed strobe pattern or will the light just stay on solid?

Anyone have any thoughts on wiring to an inverter. I have an 8 gauge wire to my 800W inverter now, wired to my blue sea fuse panel. I'm a little worried about moving that connection directly to one of the outputs on my 8100. Any thoughts?

Don't do it. They have amp ratings listed. Even for my light bars I'm running relays because it couldn't handle it.

Have you tried a Switchpro? The exact same thing can be said about it. Curious about this statement.

I think what hes saying is that the switchpro doesnt have the output of the spod.
    spod has 6 40amp output
    switchpro is 8 Outputs, 7 rated @ 18A, 1 rated @ 30A

so the switchpro would barely handle a standard small lightbar (200w bar @ 16amps)

    both are neat products though.

There's also the new model w/ 8 switches at 30 amps as an option from spod... http://www.4x4spod.com/product_p/8-800-hd-jk.htm

    Pretty sweet...

But still... for the price difference... at least back when we could get the 20-25% off coupon... I'll take the switch-pro any day. Then again, I'm only running lights on mine anyways so no need for the additional amp draw rating.

Hmmm.. Im running all my lighting just fine. Including a 240w light bar.

Price, ease of use, features. To each their own I guess.

on the 18amp circuit? Good to know. I guess thats really only 2ish amps over the rating. Also, for the record, i would pick this one over the spod too. for the moment, I will just us the bussman setup lol.

Are you using the relay that comes with your lightbar or are you just connecting straight to the Switch Pros? Just wondering for when I get my Switch Pros in. Kinda sucks that I'll have to connect to the battery and then to the Switch Pros if I have to use the relay. Thanks in advance!
