Switching OEM entune head unit to aftermarket

Planning on replacing the non JBL entune head unit with the pioneer avic 8000 nex. The pioneer has navi built in and is Sirius radio ready. My question is will the Sirius radio be plug n play or do I need and adapter or another xm tuner to be able to use the factory xm antenna? I already know to buy the CRUX adapter for steering wheel controls and back up camera. And I know I do not need an adapter for the navigation is built in. Please share your knowledge about the xm radio compatibility. Thanks!

I've not replaced mine yet, but in prep for splicing I've got a short piece of cable with RG174 connectors that will work.

Do a search online for how to splice coax. It's not the best solution, but take your time and it will work.

 

So I'm guessing the crux adapter that's supposed to work on 12' + will not work because of that plug? Or are the 12's the same as 14's
