Switching turn signals for running lights

    I read the sticky about turning your blinkers into day-time running lights and I really like the looks and safety gains with that mod

    ....but, wouldn't it be easier to just switch the wiring behind the headlights? It would go a step beyond the original mod, your running lights would become turn signals and your turn signals become running lights. Maybe I'm not considering everthing but seems simple enough.

    I just asked the guy at the dealer and he told me in 2012 they changed to the inboard running light. He couldn't see a reason not to do this mod. I'll post up my results if anyone is interested.
