I just filled my T-case and Transmission plus both diffs with mobil 1 synthetic oil and now I have a small leak where the transmission bolts up to the engine. I Think it is because this new oil is alot thinner than the old dino oil I was using. So my question is, is there a additive that will thicken it?

i never use synthetic on truck or cars....unless i drive high RPM, or high performance car. drive very fast all the time.no need for synthetic oil. use conventional oil and change often, you be just fine...is use synthetic oil on my sportbike, but also do 180 mph every chance i get.

5w30 dino is the same as 5w30 synth. Synth isn't thinner than dino if they're both the same weight. Synth just has more detergent qualities than dino and thus cleans out gunk better than dino.

Lots of small stuff; Grillcraft MX, Bilstein 5100's, Deck Plate Mod w/ AFE air filter, Airaid MIT, braided SS brake lines, Redline Tuning QuickLIFT hood struts, Extang Full-Tilt tonneau cover, fog light mod, gray wire mod, power outlets on-demand, Diff breather ext, additional contours to passenger side from oak tree.
X2, Synthetic vs. regular doesn't affect the viscosity. If they're the same weight oil, they have the same viscosity. You'll get longer life out of synthetics though.

They ARE NOT only for performance vehicles being driven at high speed/rpm.

Ya I took it to my local toyota dealership and they put the synthetic in. Its not a huge leak and it only leaks after I drive on the highway for a while. If im just driving around town it doesnt leak.
