system build in my 07 access cab

yep, the center console will produce rattles. its one of the few places i havent gotten a chance to address yet. also, it seems that the upholstery on the factory headrests makes has a nasty vibration, as well.

 

The rattles don't annoy me too much though. Really it's the ticking noise that is amplified by my system that comes through the a/c. I need to figure out where the rca's are picking up the interference and fix that.

 

any updates on your build? how did those amps like charging above 15v? I get to pull my 240a alternator out of my truck this weekend and replace the regulator on it because the voltage likes to spike above 15v after heavy current draws and put my mid-bass amp into protect for a split second -___-

 

Nothing new. I'm burnt on on it. The amp handles the voltage fine, it's a beast of an amp considering how affordable it was.

 

Did you add any batteries? What the lowest you see the voltage drop? On what settings

 

Still only have the stock batt in there. Just the other day I was idling at 14.4 because I had been sitting in traffic for a while. And I had the bass turned up a little bit. That is the lowest I can remember seeing it.

Not much to see really haha. If I knew how to upload videos there might be a chance. I am saving up for some new subs right now, I'm so sick of these crappy ones.

You got the right idea pinktaco. I drool thinking about owning some custom built psi subs. But I might for now get some entry level e series from sundown or possibly aq's entry level ones. It sucks too since I missed out on the pre-order for the new sundown series since I didn't have the money.

 

get the skarr and obsidian subs they are hella cheap and they handle with some good soft parts.

Yea, plus obsidian and sundown are both based within 30 minutes of where I live which is awesome. I missed out on the obsidian pre order as well.

Yea, considering what they are they are priced really well. Sucks though becuase I had to just buy a new lap top so that will put new subs on hold for a while.

 

is that for school? Well gotta deal what you have. How many watts the amp pushing out for now?

 

No, just for general use. I'm not in school. I haven't clamped the amp or anything but it should be over 900 rms.

 

Alright, I pulled the trigger and just paid for four brand new subs! I sold two sets of tires that I had laying around and also have been working some overtime at work to be able to afford them. But I am stoked. I think I might keep it a secret as to what kind they are... haha. They are still d4's so that I can add another Nine.1 probably next week so that I'll be around 3k rms when all is said and done.
