    Been planning my audio upgrade since the day I picked up my 17 TRDOR DCSB
    And I'm finally heading down to Monterrey next weekend to have Mr. Marv install my system
    Keeping the stock Premium Entune head unit ( if I'm not really happy how it turns out might replace it with an Excellon 994s
    Parts;
    Mosconi 6 to 8 Aerospace DPS
    Jl Audio HD900/5 =Woofer,tweeters,mids
    JL Audio HD600/4 - bridged to run mid/woofers
    Hetz Mille Legend 280.3 tweeters,1650.3 md/woofer
    AudioFrog GB25=Mids
    JL Audio 10TW3 woofer

    The reason for the smaller Audiofrog mid is size , 2-3/4 inch , the Mille mid actual size is 3.7 inch, too big to fit in the stock tweeter position ,tweeter will go in the sails
    Reasons for this is;
    1- to keep it as understated as possible visually so as not attract any attention
    2- airbags in pillars , I'm concerned about those components shooting straight to mine or passengers face in case of an accident

    All 4 doors are fully Dynomated inside and out ,will also use Ensolite , back wall+floor will also get Dynamat +Ensolite

    The tweeters+mids positions is not the best but with the Mosconi i'm pretty confident Mr. Marv can make it sound very decent

    Looks like you have it under control. I don't think you will be happy with the stock head unit after all the new speakers get installed.

    Pillars stay stationary when airbags deploy. They are bolted in with 10mm bolts. I installed my mid and tweet in the pillars of my 17

    local shop actually told me to spend less money rather than more and just start with the head unit. Said the stocker is really craptastic and that I should do it first and try it with the stock speakers before committing to a huge system install.

    Stock '17 Entune head unit from an SR5

    It all depends on what your end goal is, mine is a 3 way active system.
    Even if I did the head untit first I will still have to do the DPS,amps and speakers I'm already doing

    The SR5 stock HU is not the same as what the OP has and many of us have found that the Premium Entunes HU is surprisingly good (for a stock HU). It is relatively powerful and clean which is why so many people are quite satisfied with a simple speakers swap-out (w/ no amps or signal processors). Of course, the stock HU is limited in it's audio controls and it definitely has some EQing happening...but those can be fixed with a signal processor to flatten things out before you amplify it.

    Also, the airbags are not an issue in the a-pillars. Someone else posted it in TW, but the crash test video showed the a-pillar trim staying put when the airbags deploy.

    That's awesome that you get to meet Mr. Marv. It's been many years, but I talked with him and eventually bought a box from him back when I had my 2nd gen. He sure does super quality work and he knows his stuff...great guy too. You'll be grinning ear to ear that whole ride home. :)

    Well after about 17 hours of labor between Mr. Marv and I we got all the equipment the last weekend , I'm heading down there again tomorrow morning to do some tidying up and tuning, onlt some cross over point have been set so far so I can break in the drivers.Mr. Marv build a nice wiring harness to plug the DSP into the head unit without having to cut any of the OEM wiring so I can return it to stock when is time to trade in

    Just wondering if there was a reason you did not put the controller on the left of the steering wheel ?
    Did you Dynamat the front doors ? How much sound deadening did you need for this job ?
