its typical...they will discuss with you but not document it....that is because then it is deniable when asked in court or by corporate when confronted later....just make sure when you have things written up on the R/O, ask to see it before you give them the keys

Hilarious if in fact they are putting the same pump in and they continue to chirp.

Appointment done. After my truck had been with the tech for a little over an hour, they informed me that they would be replacing my HPFP. The new pump is in fact on back order nationwide and should take 3 weeks to get :fingerscrossed:. Also, there has been changes to the new pump from the manufacturer. Apparently there can still be some audible noise from the new HPFP, but no where near the "chirp" they will be replacing from the old. So time will tell. A small victory but I'm happy. :bananadance:

So far I have had 3 done in 2 months of ownership. Add this one to the list now. Honestly I thought the chirping was normal for this engine but I will gladly take a quiter HPFP.

The TSB says it will reduce the noise, nothing about eliminating it.

Sweet, now I can get this, the diff whine, and the squeaky clutch pedal all fixed at the same time.

    Update.
They replaced my HPFP and the chirp is gone. :bananadance: The sound of mechanical clicking is heaven compared the annoying high pitch chirp. Fingers crossed:fingerscrossed: it stays that way. So on 4/10 the tech diagnosed the chirp and issued the TSB for replacement of HPFP and the part was ordered. 4/28 the HPFP was installed and my truck returned to me. That's 17 days because of the back ordered part. Happy they opened a TSB for this issue recently considering I tried to find a resolution about a year ago with no luck. Hope this helps someone.

hah I just got mine done as well and I can also confirm it is gone. For now... Just came out from under the truck and now my diff is seeping fluid. It's like once I just finish getting something addressed something else pops up.

I'd worry only if it's leaking. But hell yeah for our HPFP!

I'm still going to have them snap a pic and I'm going to run it. I'm way past the getting mad stage at this point. I got the tweeters in and have been driving around with the new exhaust. They reset my ECM and it hasn't been slamming in to first anymore. It's been better.

Add me to the list; I have all three. Squeaky clutch pedal fixed with grease.

As for the chirping, I was told it is a normal operating condition at the last service visit. Oh, do I wish I had the TSB in hand. Returning shortly armed with printout. TW for the save once again!
