Do you dislike the resonator or the hanger?

The hanger for one and the resonator is HUGE! What kind of muffler do you have?

What's the point of custom exhaust if you can't hear it? Performance is negligible.

Yea I'm not a fan of the hanger either, but I didn't look at it until I got home. I guess I should have been more clear, you can still hear it on the outside, but it just doesn't drone anymore. With the long tubes, even cruising it was pretty damn loud. Or I'm just old. Outside, it wasn't really loud enough to attract police or anything, or set off alarms.

    And its a 26" dirtydeeds

Would that fit? I remember I watched as my muffler was made and test fitted, the original length was around 28.5" and it was hitting something attached to the frame.

Have you guys ever used clamps to secure a muffler? I have a used one, but I don't want to get it all welded in if it is too loud or broken.

Robert, I'm not a huge fan of muffler clamps. I've seen too many pulled off on the trail. I understand your dilemma though in not wanting to go all in on a used muffler.

Maybe try clamps first, just temporarily to see if you like it?

Yeah I found a shop that can do it for $50, but if I had a welder I'd try it myself. It should be fine, but you never know.

I got ripped and paid $90 for 15 minutes of work for the guy to weld on my Borla muffler. But he did a nice job, oh well.

that is not ripped, if you worked at a auto palce you know the clock for job starts once the car pulls in, that means driving to the rack rack it up ect ect so 90 buck is pretty fair.

I meant a rip because now I could do it for free myself. $90 was by far the best price I found.

Yeah swapping exhausts is easy and welding is no big deal but it is tight ad hard to see what your welding. I with just the cats in mine is not that loud. Resonator not needed. I actually wanna get some more out of it

I should have enough room, but a friend of mine has a factory viper muffler and I'm gonna see if it'll work on my setup.
