I honestly want to real bad, but I don't have that kind of cash.
An FJ I could finance, no one will finance a trip to BAMF.

    Shoes look good!

how is a FJ better than a 3rd gen in wheeling, it sucks in every way, FJ got plastic interior i got leather, FJ has blind spots i don't, FJ has less ground clearance than 4runner, FJ weights more than 4runner, FJ parts cost more than 4runner, FJ insurance is more than 4runner, FJ is for those that read too many toyota magazines, have you been on FJ forums? lol good luck

Thanks! Have you been on any trails that you couldn't do in your 4runner? I know you've had your maintenance issues, but it seems like most of the major items have been taken care of. You're 17 and really don't need to finance a car or go into debt for one. I'd rock the 4runner through Highschool then reevaluate what you are wanting to do next. FJ's are sweet, but you already have a bad ass 4runner that can do just as many trails as an FJ.

x2. I can't stand the new FJ's. I've driven one and wanted to ghost ride it off a cliff. Big ass boat. .....Where's the suicide smilie?

Rear axle shafts are interchangeable (driver and passenger sides) on our 3rd gens right? I have a leaking axle seal and instead of dumping $200 or so into new bearing and shoes I'm thinking of just picking one up from the parts yard. That way I can have a spare anyways.
