Ok here's my assessment:

This DMM mount should be the first mod new owners install. The quality and craftsmanship is completely over-the-top, and I hope @FreshMexicanTaco remembers we little folk when he becomes rich and famous.

 

First of all thanks for the order, I really appreciate it.
As far as NEEDING this, you DO, we all do. (you really don't but I can't say that... I'm selling it) but by that standard I probably didn't need a long bed, or 4x4 or 285 tires... but I have that and more, I can confidently say that of all the mods I have on my truck the DMM is the only mod that I benefit from DAILY!
The truth is that our Tacos don't have a very practical place for a phone, and EVERYONE has a phone. but beyond that, the DMM is NOT a phone mount. That just happens to be the most common use for it but there are big plans for it. It takes time to develop things but I will very soon be providing phone mounts and tablet mounts, after that I have plans for a wireless charger mount and a power pod with USB outputs to bolt directly into the DMM. I have some other ideas and I will most likely make a poll about it when the time comes to see what I should focus my attention on.

It is now the 20th and I don't have DMMs on hand yet. I will very soon but I do have a few orders to fulfill as soon as they start coming in so new orders will probably ship in about 2 weeks. I am making modifications to my website to allow for DMM and accessory purchasing as well as grilles.
keep checking for availability.
I can take pre-orders but I don't like taking peoples money when I don't have anything to give in return. If you want to do that let me know and we can work something out.

Extra ball mounts will continue to be sold by me, and yes I've been selling them for $10.
I am working on a deal with suppliers to get those at a cheaper price, I'm hoping it will come through very soon. The $10 INCLUDES the bolt and bushing used to attach it to the DMM.

Oh yeah... If I was I guess I would just pay someone to hold the phone for me instead of coming up with this kind of non-sense.

For anyone looking for a mounting solution instead of the usual RAM mounts, posting a link to what I did last January.

In-Dash hidden universal mount, RAM compatible.

This set up is still as rock solid as it was the day I mounted it. As posted above, if you are thinking about doing this, stop thinking and hit the order button. You will use it every time you get in the truck!!!!

Two configurations available at this point:
Both consist of:
- Short arm to connect two 1” balls
- Phone/small tablet mount (pictured above)
- static or swivel joint. Your choice, the swivel joint allows you to rotate the device from portrait to landscape without loosening the arm, the static joint is... well... STATIC DUH (once the arm knob is tightened the device position is locked)

The swivel version of the mount is $30
The static version will be $27
