How's it going everyone! A little background. From San Diego, CA and now stationed out here in Virginia. Sold my Subaru wrx a year after being stationed here and I wanted to get into a truck. Found a 02 lunar mist double cab 4x4 with 139k miles on it in almost mint condition and had to grab it. Same day I bought the truck found a guy selling a leer camper shell for $100 also I couldn't pass it up, so i had to grab it. Time to build this truck and get exploring.

    Will post more pictures later.

Nice truck. I had an 02 until it was involved in an accident. Replaced it with a 04.

The frame is surprisingly good I'll take a picture of it tomorrow when it's sunny. The truck was bought from the dealer ship and until now it's only been serviced at the dealership. Well from what the car fax showed me.

Your truck is identical to mine when I bought it except mines an 04 and it was bone-stock. I also found a guy down in Maryland last year that sold me his shell for $100. Great looking truck. Here's mine20170403_100735.jpg 20170425_111023.jpg 20170422_110431.jpg

Oh wow it would have fooled me. I need to use some "meguiars back to black" stuff to make my bumper not as faded

Nice looking truck. I had to spring for a super low mileage 2wd. I am in love with it, and will either do the conversion or keep my eyes peeled for a 4x4 when the time is right. How much did you pay for yours?

wait i'm confused. i was saying that the truck you bought is a Limited. 4x4 limited trucks in mint condition are unicorns. especially low miles. i bet it was a pretty penny

So long story short for awhile I was looking for a clean 4x4 and everyone here in Virginia had a premium on their tacos but weren't in as good shape. When I found the truck I stumbled upon it on a local dealers "used cars" inventory and it was listed. I called and he sales person I talked too didn't even have it on his roster. So I guess I got lucky before they put it out on the lot to sell. But I walked out the dealership with it for $10k OTD w/ some free oil changes lol.

That's a steal! Great find. Trucks in AZ are so much more expensive.

Last week I was offered $16K for my D-cab. Can't part with it, it's a great truck.

That's what I'm saying! Mine only has 77k miles on it, and is in really great shape. If I can find parts, I think I'd be better off doing a 4x4 conversion down the road than looking for a low mileage rust free 4x4.

Speaking of rust I need to take pics of the undercarriage and show you guys what surprised me. For being a 15 year old truck being in the east coast it's surprisingly clean
