As the owner of a lunar mist 02 limited 4x4 TRD, I agree the front bumper and the matching fender flares look like limited but the mirrors are not chrome which is how they typically came in the limited variation. Does the drivers seat have a power lumbar? If so you have a limited

Damn that such a clean looking truck. I'm installing a headliner in my $100 shell this weekend . I got to say my truck looks naked without the shell though 20170501_095825.jpg 20170501_121014.jpg

The guy I bought it off from did a headliner job on it also. I just need to take it off and lay some insulation type tape along the linings of the shell to keep water out

Yeah mine leaks like a sieve also. That's one of the other reasons why I took the shell off is to reseal.

After using many different types of weather stripping at Home Depot and also garage door bottom Rubber seal which none of them work worked . I started thinking what would be the best seal. So while at Home Depot I thought what about copper pipe insulators. I'll cut them down the middle and make two halves out of them because without cutting them in half it would be too thick then take 1/2 of it and20170506_063758.jpg tack them too the bed rail with spray adhesive . This stuff is foam rubber like so I'm crossing my fingers that this will work.

I think the bfg ko2 or the general grabbers a/ts look good on 1st gens

Spots to look for frame rot are the cab mounts and the areas around there that's where mine rotted up
Also you might want to check the holes in the frame to see if there is n e junk in the frame ie dirt mud

I have a bad taste for first gens now I own a 01 sr5 base Manuel
My father is a welder and just last week he had done 6 hours of welding to fix all the rot spots on my frame good as new now but I'm still getting rid of it for a 2nd gen

If you had any issues you would think the dealer would have told you , so you should be fine

Just watch the spots I had mentioned above

2nd gens have frame rot issues too, they're just newer so less of them are falling apart right now - without proper care you'll start seeing a lot more 2nd gens with the same issues in the next 10 years. The frame on my 98 California truck looks 10 times newer than my dad's 08 Tundra up in Maine - thing looks like it's been dragged out of a shipwreck.

Don't know where you're at in price point for wheels, but if you're looking for cheaper BFG KO2's then check out Treadwright. They make retreaded tires and their Warden tire is basically a carbon copy of the KO2's for a fraction of the cost. Check them out!
