    yeah, I have the 5 lug auto. I can see it being hard on the truck, just wondering is it doable?

    It's well within the towing limits that Toyota has specified for our trucks. It is doable. You may just need to be cautious about leaving the transmission in Drive and have it constantly hunting for gears. Leaving the shifter in 3rd might be your best option.
