There was a limited run for a kit years ago. I don't know if it ever took off

you’ll find a lot more information about supercharging.

Pretty sure @MESO blew up his engine with one of those kits...

Super charger cost around 10K where I am in Canada then the tune cost extra as well. Not worth it for an extra 100hp

Yeah forced induction of any kind on this motor isn’t something I plan to do. I like it because it’s NA. But there seems to be more information about supercharging than turbocharging it.

Twin turbo extreme but I understand. But without putting in the proper parts to accept the extra HPs was dangerous. I've done a few upgrades in my time. Our '95 GTR R33 VSpec twin turbo for example is dialed in with proper go fast parts and tune. Our other car 2003 Evo 8 pushing north of 500WHP also built with go fast parts and tune. So I think staring wtih a basic solution to a possible simple solution maybe a good start. Sometimes it's as simple as that. So before spending a crap of $$ I would start with additives to see if that clears up issues. Aslo depends on what fuel keeps going in. My opinion and I hope it all works out for him

Well, this is the thread for you...

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/ovtune-3-5l-tacoma-supercharger-and-twin-turbo-systems.566390/

There were a few kits being sold in the BST, but I'm sure those are all claimed by now... but perhaps not installed. You should post a WTB...

you'd have better luck trading on a 2024 with a factory turbo

I'm wondering what kind of boost you would make. Fire-ring or O-ring head, plus studs? I twin turboed a cummins before, and that beast made 90 lbs of boost.

The Tacoma that Toyota slapped the Tundra TT V6 engine into looked very interesting, I'd like to sign the petition to get that into production. Good luck on your search OP.

What is nice is the front end behind the front bumper has loads of room for an intercooler.

No can do. You'll put your eye out (and blow your motor.)

There is no available kit or company that is turbo'ing the 2GR-FKS.. it's all vaporware (which absolutely sucks.)

If you want forced induction you have to go with one of the two supercharger options (Magnuson or Procharger.)

Just curious as to why you would need a kit to make it work. Disclaimer: I have no knowledge that it would work and I'm not claiming it would. Would be nice if it did work though.

The guy that wrote the software used by every 3rd Gen tuner (that talks to the ECU) spent a year working on it and gave up.

I'm not saying it'll never happen. I wish it would. But if you just slap a custom manifold and turbo on your truck and start adjusting fuel tables without being a fueling/timing expert.. those controlled explosions happening in the cylinder will become uncontrolled. :D

WTF with the Amazon cup holder hyperlink TW?
