You will probably need the tee adaptor to cross into the line and run the gauge since there is no shrader valve on the fuel rail. I have the master kit that costs big money. You may be able to rent one.

Do you have a link to what tee adaptor? And do you just relieve pressure and cut the line, or does it go into the fpr?

I'll look at my kit tomorrow. It's locked up in my box at work.

Just from a purely trouble shooting stand point, when you first start cranking over, step on the gas a little and see if that makes a difference. I only suggest that because when I changed injectors on my T-100, I ran into the same problem a couple of times. I assume it was air in the fuel rails but the problem finally worked itself out. I'm not saying this will fix the problem, but if it makes a difference, it's another variable to add for discussion.

Is there a 'check valve' in the fuel system that may be letting pressure bleed back out of the rails?? I may be way off base here, but as long as we're all spit ballin'.......

That should be the pressure regulator

How long did you have to give it some gas like that before the issue went away?

Vapor lock seems very unlikely since the fuel pump is in the tank and pushes the fuel. Vapor lock occurred before the fuel pump as it cannot suck vapor.

I think you're right. I keep forgetting where the Tacoma fuel pump is.

If I remember correctly, it would pretty much start right up then. My problem finally went away in a couple of weeks but I think we're talking about two different things here.

A guy on a different thread that he had this warm starting issue and it turned out to be a bad fuel pump.

Are you going to try to do a fuel pressure test boogie?

Lol there are about 10-15 different things I still need to check to try to figure this issue out.

I know, we need to split up the possible problems and start checking them out 1 by 1. I took a video of it starting and dying a couple times today. I'll try to post it later

Well, sometimes it will turn over for several seconds and then run fine, and other times it will start up quick and immediately die. It always run fine on the second start up

The more I get into this, the more I realize how poorly maintained this truck was with the previous owner
