    Hello,
I have a 2008 Honda Rancher 420. I am in the process of purchasing a 2010 Tacoma, but am not sure if the ATV will fit in the bed.

Does anyone know if the Rancher will fit in the short bed? I expect I would have to keep the gate down during transport.

My options are to get the dbl cab, with the short bed (60.3").
    Or
The access cab, or dbl cab with a long bed, which both have a bed of 73.5".

I have a 5yr old child and am not sure if I should go with the dbl, or access at this point. Please help............ Thanks.

dont get an access cab if you have kids...either get the DC SB with bed extender, or DC LB...

I just bought a 2010 DC because of my grandchildren. Child seats I don't believe would work really well in an access cab. But your 5 year old may already be in a booster. I also hear that alot of access cab owners are having wind noise issues. I really don't like the un-stability of the access cab. I personally don't believe they are as safe as the DC if in a T-Bone type crash. I may be way off, but just my opinion. Good Luck.

yea i would go the dc lb for the kid and the bike, but they unfortunately don't make them for 2010 so i think you will need to get a 2009 or get a dc short bed

Don't know about fitting the Honda in the back but I would go with the DC over the AC. Not a lot of room in the AC and certainly not comfortable for a long drive. Though I like the looks of the AC better.

DC guy, Access cab not even a logical option with a 5 year old, they keep getting bigger. Get a long bed.

They most certainly do make a DC long bed in 2010. I have one that I bought 2 months ago and if you look around here youll see a lot of folks have them.

72" from nose to back of rear wheel. 42"- 44" wide. if the gate is 15" or more in height, it will easily fit with the gate down on the sb. can the gate support the weight? don't c y not.
does anyone know the tailgate height? thanks

definitely go dc lb the accessibility and extra room are a nice enough perk to get one by themselves.

I'm looking at a 2010 DC SB and was wondering if my 07 Rancher 400 would fit and it sounds like it will, with the gate down...but does the atv bump the glass of the tacos back window?

I know a 2006 Racher AT will fit in a long box 2nd Tacoma with the tailgate shut. It's a snug fit though. Oh, and watch out for the rear window.

It will fit.....your front tires will sit on the fender wells inside the bed and the back tires will be on the tailgate.......I use a trailer but I have loaded it up in the truck just out of curiosity.....I do not have any pictures.....but look at the pictures in this thread:http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/all-terrain-vehicles/5348-atv-short-bed-2.html The rincon is a little wider than a foreman. Congratulations on getting a new foreman. Honda may not make the biggest/baddest machine but they are definitly the most reliable.
