lol, thanks. I'm working on adding a processor but I think the one they sent me is kinda crazy. Sent it back and waiting on the result so I can tie all these things together!

Here's a question I've been meaning to ask: with a deadened car, does it matter which direction the subs face. I've seen custom boxes where they fire down, others towards the windshield, towards the back, etc. In a perfect world, how would you face the subs?

It depends. In my "perfect" world I'd have a sub that could play dead flat to 0hz but obviously nothing can. Assuming I didn't need to load the wave off something like a rear trunk wall (sedan) I'd fire the cone and the port right at the listener.

That being said, in a double cab tacoma, it wont make a difference. Point it whichever way is easiest.

I ended up going with the Eclipse AVN726e. I did a review on it in another thread. Here is the vid...

I wanted to go with that HU, but when I inquired about ordering, everyone said they were discontinued and I couldn't find a good enough price on them. Instead i went with the DNX9960, been pretty happy with, but def. paid more than i should've.

I'm new to the forums (and to trucks in general) and I came across your awesome build. Great job!!!!!!!!

In fact, I think I may copy your under the seat sub setup.

What configuration did you wire your subs since I don't think your amp will handle a 1ohm load?

And how does the MS-8 sound? I have an Audison BitOne.1 from my last install, but I have been thinking about selling it and getting the MS-8 since people have been raving about how great it auto-tunes their systems...

^lol, sorry you guys...I've been slacking today. I left my tools at my apartment earlier so I didn't get to put this in when I thought I would. I'm about to walk out into the garage and get it all setup. Pics to come!*

    ^Thank you sir.

Sorry to do this to you guys but you're not gettin pictures tonight. The camera does NOT like low light situations and my garage light at my apartment is pretty damn crappy. So rather than posting crappy pictures tonight and putting up better ones tomorrow let's just wait till morning.

I will state that I'm VERY pleased with the sound. No tuning yet and it's already light years ahead of what I had before. :D
