    want leak free?

buy butyl tape, pull up your bed rails and put it underneath. play with the butyl tape like putty and jam it anywhere you see light, the space between the bed rails and front rail is much larger than some may guess. lastly put silicone where you need it. its not an over night process to discover and fix leaks

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
FWIW ... I have an Undercover SE for almost 3 years and never had a drop of water in the truck bed.

Water in the truck bed (especially under a cover) would make me nuts.

PS .. I did no mods to the cover either and it took 20 minutes to install.

    Love this Undercover SE.

The composite beds were the first components to be built in Mexico. Then came the Mexican built Tacoma and now the 4 Runner is next. That takes balls to move the entire 4 Runner manufacturing facility to a pueblo in south Mexico known for pottery, tequila and blankets.

Toyota could build an SUV in Guanajuato along with the Tacoma, says report.

OEM cover here. Only leaks are around tailgate, if that. Keep potential moldy items in a large plastic bag or other container. Heat to cold and visa versa in humid areas may create mold, even in a truck bed. Don't ever expect a truck bed to be as dry as an suv or trunk of a sedan.

Bed mat, factory tonneau cover, barely any leaks. It’s gonna leak, don’t just throw stuff back there that you need to stay dry. My home inspection tools are in there 24/7 inside those sweet rigid waterproof cases along with towing and emergency stuff in another one.

Doesn't budge it's ratchet strapped to extra bed d-ring and the front rail. Hasn't moved yet and I wheel pretty hard. I am going to actually make a tire holder for it eventually.

Awesome! I’ve been looking for a temporary solution and this looks like a solid choice for now.
    What size tire is that?

Yeah. I have a topper. The leaking in the front cab corners used to bother me. But I took your attitude after a while.

I have a FiberMax BakFlip and it leaks a little, so anything I put in the bed that is important I either put it in a tote or put it on a tarp and wrap it like a burrito, throw over a couple of bungies and call it good. 6 years, no issuez

    Taco Crew,
I put a BakFlip MX2 and added the provided drip tubes to the tracks with drainage mod to the existing front bed holes ; added toyota bed mat and ....no issues with leaks! Any water from tailgate area goes under mat and drains out without cargo getting wet. Good luck with keeping things dry. MSGtacoMedic

No way. Bought a truck with a topper because I needed more space for cargo and dogs and don't want to have to keep the back interior of a 4runner clean.

Have a diamondback and the only problem is the two gaps at front of bed. They arent that bad, and any water goes under bed mat.

I hate that. My bed rack doesn't help much either...
