I do not own a Tacoma. I am considering buying one. I currently am driving a Jeep Patriot 4wd 100 miles round trip a day to work. My assessment is that it is a light duty vehicle. It has been doing pretty well in the recent snow allowing me to hold my lane on worked over snow covered freeway lanes.

I happen to know a guy who is retired from a Gas utility and earns extra by delivering Hondas between dealers as they trade them around. He filled me in that a person can buy a CNG vehicle and also buy a home CNG natural gas compressor so you refill it from your home natural gas supply.

So the question is could I buy a Tacoma, have a CNG conversion done on it, buy a home natural gas compressor, and end up with monthly payments not too much higher than monthly gasoline costs to run the Patriot.

By leaving the vehicle able to run on either fuel, you do not have to spend time looking for CNG stations when you are away from home.
